March 18, 2020
Dear Patients,
As part of our continued commitment to protect the health of our patients and public during this unprecedented and evolving period we have been diligently monitoring the recommendations from the CDC, the governor, and the Ventura County Public Health Department. Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak and the declaration of a national health emergency, we have decided to shut down all services to help contain the spread of COVID-19. We have no known cases in our office. We will close March 21, 2020 at 3pm and plan to reopen April 1, 2020. We do not take our decision to close lightly, we believe this is necessary to help protect our patients, staff, and the general population.
We will be open in office for all services until 3pm Saturday March 21, 2020. We are recommending all seniors 65 and over self-quarantine and reschedule their routine eye care appointment to a later date. The Ventura County Health Officer has ordered all seniors 75 and older and those aged 70 and older with chronic conditions to shelter in their residence until April 1, 2020. We will immediately help to reschedule patients affected by this order and our closure.
We will be available in the office for all services until 3pm Saturday March 21, 2020. After this time, please leave a message on our voicemail system and we will return your call as soon as possible.
The well being of our patients, staff, their families and the general population remain our top priority. We urge everyone to do his or her part in social distancing to minimize the spread of the virus.
We thank you for your understanding in this difficult evolving time. We hope that all of you and your families remain safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
Ventura Optometric Vision Care
