I just posted this information on my Troup County High School Theatre Department page, but wanted to share here, too!

VERY last minute, but it is a POSSIBILITY that we MAY open ensemble role auditions for next season to our area elementary and middle school students. This would be for MATILDA, MADAGASCAR, and/or TARZAN. We are looking for talented actors, singers, and dancers who are ready to really commit to working on stage presence and performance. As a pre-screening, we are offering a dance session on Friday, May 24th for interested kids at 12:30-2:00. No registration required. No cost. Just an informal opportunity to have a little challenging dance fun on the THS stage. Dance call will happen on the main stage in the Fine Arts Auditorium at Troup High. There is no solid future plan...just an idea forming. Shows are not yet solidly determined. This is just an idea in the making, and it may end up just being a fun one-afternoon experience. HOPEFULLY we will turn this into a “thing”! 🙂 If there are interested folks who cannot make tomorrow’s “call,” never fear. We will likely do more of this over the summer, but definitely as the school year gets started up again. We are looking to build an even larger, stronger performing base in Troup County, and this is just one tiny baby step in that direction!
So if you have interested children or know of anyone who would like to come, please spread the word! This is not a babysitting service, but an actual, intense dance call. Only truly interested children, please.🙂 Grades rising 2nd and up only.
Bring water and a towel and wear comfortable clothing that allows for a great deal of movement. Closed toed shoes only. Socks and shoes preferred.

It's going to be a BLAST! And most certainly come see what's happening on the TROUP HIGH campus on Saturday, May 4th! Admission is only $1, and you can't beat that:)
