Happy Friday!
One of my favorite parts of Spring is when my plants start growing again. This winter I did not use grow lights so everyone was able to take a winter break. The goal for this weekend is to get the rest of the plants dusted and drenched.

WIP Wednesday!
You know it is time to make more plants when the scrap jar fills up. 2 curly hanging plants and 2 snake plants are in the works at the moment. It's a fun way to use up the scrap yarn, and also helps with not having too many made at one time.

We had a productive weekend. To kick off the Spring Cleaning season Molly came down from the China cabinet for her yearly deep clean. Due to her size and location she only gets washed once a year. Oh man was she dusty. Each leaf was wiped down with a paper towel that was lightly damp with cow milk. Cow milk is a safe chemical free way to clean any plant and it also acts as a natural leaf shine. While I was cleaning the leaves I also drenched the soil, this flushed all the extra salts left behind during watering throughout the year. Once all the leaves were wiped down I planted three long stems back into the pot that were trimmed off Molly last summer. It took a little over 4 hours to complete this task, and it was completely worth it. In a couple weeks she will be used to her new dew and will start looking perky.

PS: Dusting your plants helps with photosynthesis and unclogs pores allowing them to breathe and produce oxygen.

Fun Fact: Molly is 7 years old and a descendant of the old Warren Mall waterfall plants.

I hope that the first weeks of the new year have been good for everyone. I was looking back and out of all of the amazing creations I made last year, the coolest thing that I made in 2025 was my green cardigan. It was my first cardigan, made with my favorite color. The pattern is measured to size, and I made it too long my first attempt and had to frog the first half panels. I didn't want it down to my ankles lol, but the second attempt I got it to cover my knees. It's perfect. It's very warm on these cold winter days. I love it. Special thanks to Jess for the idea!
PS don't mind the crafty mess lol.
