NOW YOU KNOW | Weekly Style Edition

Letā€™s talk accessories ā€” because sometimes itā€™s not the outfit that feels ā€œoffā€ā€¦ itā€™s the scale of the accessories.

A good rule of thumb: your accessories should be in proportion to you.

If you are taller, broader framed, or have a larger presence, you can usually carry larger earrings, chunkier bracelets, bigger handbags, statement necklaces, and bolder accessories beautifully.

If you are petite or smaller framed, very large accessories can sometimes overwhelm you instead of complementing you. Smaller hoops, delicate necklaces, slimmer bracelets, and smaller handbags may feel more balanced.

The goal really isn't to follow a bunch of fashion ā€œrules" --
The goal is to create balance.

A few quick tips:

If your outfit feels plain, try adding one statement piece near your face.

If your accessories disappear on you, go a little larger.

If your accessories feel like theyā€™re wearing you, scale them down.

And donā€™t forget your handbag counts too. A tiny bag on a tall or larger-framed woman can look out of proportion, while an oversized bag on a petite woman can feel like itā€™s taking over the whole outfit.

Style is not about being a certain size. Itā€™s about learning what works with you instead of against you.

Back to work after a much-needed breakā€¦ and apparently I still remembered how to fix my hair and put on a little makeup. šŸ˜‚

Vacation Angie was perfectly content rotating between a bathing suit and a pair of shorts with a T-shirtā€¦ and I wasnā€™t mad about it one bit. But today, I dusted off the mascara, put on a real (but still comfyšŸŽ‰) outfit, and stepped back into boutique life.

I canā€™t tell you how grateful I am for the amazing team that kept everything running while I was away. Knowing the boutique and our customers were in such good hands made it possible for me to truly unplug, and I donā€™t take that for granted. šŸ©·

The best part? Lots of new arrivals showed up while I was gone, so if you havenā€™t stopped by in a couple of weeks, come see whatā€™s new!

One of the unexpected gifts from vacation was realizing how much I had missed reading.

Not listening to a book while checking off my steps. Not squeezing in a chapter while folding laundry or driving somewhere. Justā€¦ reading.

Somewhere along the way, I had convinced myself that audiobooks were just as good.

And donā€™t get me wrongā€”I still love them. But sitting with a real book in my hands reminded me thereā€™s something special about turning each page, lingering over a sentence, and letting the story unfold at its own pace.
It made me wonder how often I do that with life.

How often am I always moving, thinking about whatā€™s next, or trying to make every minute productiveā€¦ instead of simply being present in the moment Iā€™m already living.

Vacation had a way of slowing me down just enough to remember that not everything has to be rushed. Some things are meant to be savored.
Iā€™m hoping to bring a little of that home with me.

Maybe not every day will include a beach chair and the sound of the waves, but perhaps it can include a few quiet pages, a slower pace now and then, and the reminder that rest isnā€™t wasted time.
