Love deserves to be seen. And every person deserves the dignity of living authentically. 🌈🤍
Today, October 11, we recognize National Coming Out Day a day celebrating LGBTQ+ visibility, authenticity, and the freedom to live openly, on your own terms.
These photographs tell a story of two women choosing each other, surrounded by love, support, and the people who showed up to celebrate their relationship.
I was hired to do their wedding hair and makeup at Gordon Springs Farm in Purcellville, Virginia. I brought my camera along, too, and captured some of the beautiful, unscripted moments unfolding behind the scenes.
The anticipation before the ceremony. The friends standing beside them. The happiness on their faces as they walked down the aisle.
Moments like these remind us why representation matters.
For some LGBTQ+ people, living openly is a joyful experience. For others, coming out can be complicated, deeply personal, or simply not safe. There is no single right way to live your truth, and everyone deserves respect, dignity, and the freedom to define their own journey.
Today, we celebrate le***an love, q***r joy, LGBTQ+ relationships, and the beauty of being seen and loved for who you are.
This is the heart behind LOCAL LOVE—making space for le***an love stories, LGBTQ+ weddings, engagements, anniversaries, and the everyday moments that deserve to be remembered.
Because our stories matter. Our love matters. And we all deserve a world where we can live authentically and with dignity. 🤍
🌈 Happy National Coming Out Day.
