GLOW GUIDE

GLOW GUIDE Dad and I shared a unique bond as both Navy veterans and physicians. His example taught me the importance of connection and helping others.

Inspired by his legacy, I founded remMD to improve confidence, independence and safety for the people we love.

If you've ever wondered exactly how Glow Guide connects to your phone, this one's for you.

This quick video walks you through pairing your Glow Guide with Apple's Find My app, step by step. Once it's connected, you can locate a cane, walker, or wheelchair in seconds if it's ever left behind or misplaced. No guesswork, no complicated setup — just a few taps and you're covered.

Save this video so you have the steps handy when your Glow Guide arrives.

A simple accessory can prevent a lot of hard nights.

GLOW GUIDE attaches to any cane or walker and lights the path automatically the moment it's picked up — no switch, no searching in the dark. It glows for visibility, and it pairs with Apple's Find My so caregivers can stay connected without being intrusive.

It's a small product solving a real problem: falls at night are one of the most preventable risks for older adults, and prevention shouldn't require a big lifestyle change — just a smarter cane.

Doctor-developed, veteran-owned, and FSA/HSA eligible.

If you've ever worried about a parent or loved one getting up in the dark and not being able to find their cane or walker, this one's for you. 🌙

We're sharing the story behind remMD's Glow Guide, a doctor-developed smart accessory that lights the way with motion-activated LEDs, glows softly so it's easy to spot at night, connects to Apple Find My so it's never truly lost, and even keeps the cane from tipping over. It was built by a physician who understands exactly what keeps caregivers up at night.

If someone in your life uses a cane, walker, or wheelchair, give this a watch and share it with someone who needs to see it. 💙

Everyone tells founders to trademark early. We waited, and it was the right call.

This week, GLOW GUIDE officially became our 1st registered U. S. trademark. 🎉 Building remMD and bringing GLOW GUIDE to life has been a journey of turning a clinical vision into something real. Two lessons from the process, for other founders:

1. File on a flat fee whenever you can. Trademark examination involves unpredictable back-and-forth with examining attorneys — a flat-fee arrangement gives you cost clarity as a startup, when every dollar counts.
2. Wait until your product is built and packaged before filing. Registration requires proof the mark is actually in use in commerce, not just an idea. Having the real product ready made that proof clean and strong.

Thank you to everyone who's supported remMD and GLOW GUIDE along the way.

Some of you have known remMD for a while now — but if this is your first time here, let's start fresh: I'm Dr. Susan, a physician, a Navy veteran, and the daughter who built this company after watching my mom navigate life after a stroke.

We've grown a lot since then. As remMD steps into this next chapter, I wanted to reintroduce myself — not just as a founder, but as someone who still believes safety shouldn't feel like a medical intervention. It should feel like freedom.

That belief is still at the center of everything we build, including Glow Guide — the smart nighttime safety light we created so families can worry a little less.

New look, same mission. If you're just meeting us, welcome. If you've been here a while, thank you for growing with us. 💛

Please consider volunteering for the annual Veteran Wheelchair Games! The next one is planned for Orlando, July 14–19, 2027. Here’s the link: wheelchairgames.org

There are so many competitions happening at the same time, so you can choose the sport that interests you most. I helped with Air Gun, Obstacle Course setup, and Power Soccer scoring. There’s a whole team there to welcome volunteers with t-shirts and gift bags, and they even treated us to lunch.

By far, the best part was meeting the veterans and seeing how much they love the game. It was such a meaningful and fun experience.

It also made me think back to one of my first jobs at Blythedale Children’s Hospital as a recreation therapy assistant — maybe that’s where I first learned to love adaptive sports.

And a special thank-you to Jenny for telling me about John Dillon Park in New York, a fully accessible place to camp. I think I likely take for granted the ability to shower and use facilities, so that gave me a broader perspective and a lot of appreciation.

I was given permission to film as long as the sports and organizations were properly tagged.

Last week, I met two gorgeous sisters at a lunch hosted by New York State Department of Veterans' Services: Joan Williams and Karen Pascal. They were the keynote speakers—and we instantly connected.

They’re certified health coaches with a genuine desire to help people here and in their native Guyana. Check them out: http://healme/bestself

They provided family photos to create the video below and advocate for GLOW GUIDE—a smart mobility accessory for canes that helps people stay safe in the dark.

The GLOW GUIDE mission:

***Save falls

***Preserve independence

***Reduce loneliness

If this matters to you, please share it with someone who cares about navigating in the dark. Thanks

Had the best time at Theater’s “Cars and Cocktails” event this weekend!

It was a joyful day of music, friends, and gorgeously restored vintage cars—made even better by spending time with founder Jensen and my new friend Amanda.

I was lucky enough to win three auctions that I can’t wait to share with friends:

***A visit to the Gemstone Farm

***A visit to the gourmet Popcorn Factory.

***And the most exciting of all… a custom rap song!

I’m especially excited to hear the lyrics to our song about Glow Guide by remMD—bringing light, safety, and independence to the people we love. Glow Guide is Confidence You Can See.

Grateful to The Prospector Theater for creating meaningful work opportunities and such a fun, inclusive community event. ✨
