I was putting out some new fabric the other day and a cheery voice said "Oh hi! Are you The Fabric Lady?" And we were off to a fun chat about sewing, Mystery Scrap Bags, and this shopper's upcoming out-of-state move. She assured me that yes, her huge fabric stash was all packed and going with her. I just love getting to talk with all of you who are able to stop by both our booths! Recently I've gotten to meet an up-and-coming fashion designer, a teenager sewing beautiful custom fabric journal covers, and a young Mom of three stealing time to enjoy her brand new sewing machine in the wee hours of the morning. Looking forward to meeting you if I can when you come by!

This matching pair of mid-century navy blue vintage Belber suitcases is all ready for your next trip! The latches and hinges are functional and sturdy, and the double row topstitching all looks great. Not much exterior wear and tear to speak of at all. The set is a medium and a large suitcase, but you can buy either one separately if you like. Bon Voyage!

Beautifully hand-stitched appliqué vintage quilt blocks and thrift store frames come together for perfect upcycled cottagecore decorating! The orphan quilt blocks are a recent estate sale find but seemed a little fragile to sew into a wearable project. I refreshed the white frames with a quick coat of chalk paint and wax, and these pretty parasol ladies fit just perfectly. They'll be at East Bay Emporium this weekend, 1121 W. NASA Parkway at I-45 in Webster, Texas. Look for Lynnies Blue Cat and The Fabric Lady!

A cute Victorian hat pincushion! Or it can just look pretty displayed on a shelf if you don't have the heart to stick pins in it. This is a vintage 1990s collectible by Katherine's Collection at Silver Lake, not the tree ornament but the full size pincushion. It has designer Wayne M. Kleski's signature label on the bottom. Look for it at Lynnies Blue Cat, Booth 6382 at East Bay Emporium. Your sewing room wants this!

More Halloween and Fall fabric panels are ready to go for fun, quick sewing projects! We're starting to put out Christmas fabric panels too so watch for new ones every week. There'll be door hangings, stitch-and-stuff ornaments, snowmen, Santas, and even nativity sets. Some of these designs would make great appliqués to go on upcycled clothing projects too.

Vintage sewing patterns are fun to collect! I love the artwork on the envelopes showing the styles, colors, and haircuts of past decades. You can frame them for cute sewing room decor too. We found a great stash of 1960s girls patterns for you including some rare "Anne Adams" designs that you could order through your local newspaper. No, the girl in the picture isn't talking on a cell phone in 1964 - she's holding a transistor radio up to her to ear to catch all the latest pop hits!
