We're down to the last two lengths of this soft, drapey stretch terry fabric in soothing ocean blue. One piece is 3 yards and the other is 2 5/8 yards. This would be so nice for comfy loungewear or a swimsuit cover-up. Our fabrics are rescued from estates, retired sewists, downsizing, and anywhere we can keep good fabric from going to the landfill. Have you tried ribbon embroidery? We found a great stash of vintage 1990s Bucilla organza and pure silk embroidery ribbon along with several vintage ribbon embroidery kits. (Yep, some even have their vintage "Michael's" stickers on them!) The colors are so pretty on these ribbons I'm thinking they could be great in other kinds of projects too. My favorite is the made-in-France hot pink/green/black with beads and tassels. High quality trims like these are getting harder to find lately. Vintage 1990s ceramic buttons are super cute! There are different garden and animal designs perfect for a special project. The manufacturers suggest washing the finished garment inside out on gentle, or simply removing the buttons entirely before machine washing then resewing back on. We already have some in The Fabric Lady booth with more on the way this weekend. Yes, I'll be saving some out for my own upcycling projects!

Michiko just might steal your heart! She's a vintage 1980s Annette Himstedt cloth and vinyl German-made doll, "a girl from Japan" from the World Child Collection/Puppen-Kinder series. These amazing dolls have hand-painted faces, beautiful glass eyes, and real human hair. I know she'd love to come home with you!
