National FFA Convention 2026 💛💙

10/25/2026

Well now that we are all snuggled back on couches at home, it’s time to give you all a recap of our National Convention experience.

Although some of us have been to Indy before we still tried to make it a trip of firsts. Almost all of our meals were from places we have not experienced before. Some were good, some not so good. 😂

We …
🌾 Attended a career tour at Bayer Crop Science
🎸 Watched Avery Anna & Ty Myers in concert
💙💛 Attended General Sessions
😵‍💫 Experienced a hypnotist show
🏎️ Raced Go-Karts at Rascals Fun Zone
🫶🏻 Supported Chole as she ran for National Office
🤲🏻 Participated in National Day of Service event.

These four member were rockstars for National Day of Service. It was hard work, and these kids didn’t even hesitate, they just went to work. Parents, staff and the community, you should all be so proud of them. Just know we are doing something right with these kids. 👏🏻🥹

We didn’t quite receive the outcome that we wished for Chloe, but know that a she has represented our chapter, our community, and our state well during her years in FFA and will continue to do so in years to come. We couldn’t be more proud of her as all her accomplishments along the way. 🫶🏻

Here’s a photo dump of our trip. ⬇️

And remember Harvest Breakfast is tomorrow for 7-10am at Thomas Hall! 🥞🥓🍳🥛☕️🍽️ Hope to see you all there!

Well, this Fall has definitely been one for the books! 🍂

Although today wasn’t a good day for field work 🚜, it’s always a good day for a hot lunch delivered by your local FFA members. 💙💛

📦 Today, members delivered 1️⃣7️⃣2️⃣ meals out to our local farmers and agricultural businesses.

Meals consisted of :
🍖 Pork Loin, prepared by Dayton’s Meats Locker
🧀 Corn Mac
🥐 King’s Hawaiian Roll
🍪 Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar

🫶🏻Thank you to all that participated and donated. This event has grown exponentially these last few years, which wouldn’t be possible without your support.

Well that’s a wrap on soils for this year. 🌱

Last week, we were privileged in completing in a few soil adventures.

Last Tuesday, we travelled just south of Barnes City in the rain and cold and judged 3 different soil pits.

Then last Thursday, 4 students attended South Sub-districts in Wapello. Weather was much more pleasant, but still very muddy. We placed 26th out of 47 teams and on the way home we stopped by the Swinging Bridge in Columbus Junction.

Today, 4 students completed at Southeast District Soils in Muscatine, placing 23rd out of 28 teams, earning a Bronze. It was a great learning experience for all but we still got a ways to go.

So proud of all of them. 👏🏻
