DIY Glass Floral Hearts & Flowers
🛒 Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup cornstarch
• 1 cup water
• 1 tsp white vinegar
• Dried flowers (violas, daisies, or similar)
• Silicone mold (hearts, flowers, etc.)
👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Mixture: In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch, water, and vinegar. Whisk until the mixture is smooth.
2️⃣ Heat the Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and turns into a glossy, gel-like paste.
3️⃣ Remove from Heat: Once the mixture becomes translucent and slightly stretchy, take it off the heat.
4️⃣ Arrange the Flowers: Place the dried flowers into the silicone molds, arranging them in your desired design.
5️⃣ Pour the Mixture: Carefully spoon or pour the hot mixture over the flowers, ensuring each mold is filled.
6️⃣ Eliminate Air Bubbles: Gently tap the molds to release any trapped air bubbles and ensure the flowers are completely covered.
7️⃣ Cool and Set: Allow the molds to cool and set completely, which may take several hours or overnight for optimal results.
8️⃣ Unmold: Once fully hardened, gently pop the floral creations out of the molds and admire your beautiful glass-like pieces.
