The lower field With easier entrance to the coursing field is good to go. No shade tho. Upper field has shade and portajohns and water at the barn. First pic is entrance from the road to lower field. Second pic is the view of the lower field. Gate to the coursing field is lower right. Do not go thru the gate and park. Third pic is where the fts is. Top of the hill in the upper field. That is the hill to go up
And down to the coursing field.

Edit to add: I added a second pic more zoomed in of the upper field. Trailers and rvs I recommend coming from holt rd to south on Meech as the angle of entrance is kinder. Stay in the drive until it curves then head between the barns. The red “x” is where the FTS is setting up her ezup under the tree. If you beat her there Thursday afternoon please be kind and leave that spot open and don’t park a generator right next to it.

Ok parking update for this weekends AKC coursing trials. We are running in the area with squiggly yellow. The areas in purple are parking.
The top one is on top of the hill. You must take the main farm entrance to get there. Please stay on the drive and don’t veer to the right into the grass as that is the owners septic field. The portajohn will be at the top of the hill in this parking area. Plenty of room for big rvs up there. You can pull down the hill and park along the fence line in this area too to be closer to the running field.

To get to the The lower area to the right follow the lower blue line. The path is mowed. Stay on the path to get to the field. We have not tested this entrance with rvs so park down there at your own risk.

Saturday and Sunday: All SIGHTHOUND only Trials
At 1629 N Meech Rd Williamston, MI

- Singles offered both days
- Training of jobs is offered: Field setup/tear down, Inspection, Paddock, Clerk, FTS, Huntmaster.
- Judge Apprenticing offered on a first come first serve basis

Notes:
- The lower entrance is a possibility for lower close to the start parking but it will depend on the rain this week. If it is safe I will mark this entrance nad the path to stay on to not get stuck.
-It is possible to use the main farm entrance and to drive down the hill and park along the fence and be close to the start line but there is no shade there.
-There is limited shade at the top of the hill. This parking also gives a great bird's eye view of the coursing field.
- The portajohns are also in the field at the main entrance so keep this in mind when parking.
- There will be a hose and pool by the barn for your use to cool down dogs.
-Lage RVS (40'+ and taller Class A Mohos) have been able to pull into and out of the main entrance so I still recommend people camp at the top of the hill.

We are blessed to have a dog and human chiropractor coming to the field Saturday afternoon! I suggest you contact her before hand so you can get any paperwork signed by your vet or arrange a virtual consult with the vet she works with per state law. This is the chiro use and she’s awesome!a link to her fb page is in the comments

Entries are slowly coming in for next weekend. The weather is looking like it will be perfect coursing weather. Not too hot in the mid 70s as a high and as of now, dry!!!! The field has had a lot of rain so it’s soft and lush. We have some awesome judges from across the country coming in. We have 3 breed specialities on Friday (basenji, whippets and Ibizans) with some really fun incredible prizes. Followed by 2 days of all breed AKC lure coursing. We are giving out camp chairs for best in field on Saturday and Sunday. We have a judges seminar on Friday night! Fun people, fenced beautiful field, and beautiful weather….why would you not enter our AKC trials? 3 days of jc/qc as well.

UPDATE to OUR AKC JUNE 26-28TH TRIALS
We have had some minor changes to judging for the Basenji Speciality and MGA's JC/QC on June 26th. David Hayek will not make it for Friday so Sabrina Wright-Hiller will take his assignments that day. In addition as a contingency plan in case he cannot make the rest of the weekend, I have added Tom Golchur as a second judge to whippets on Sunday June 28th. If further changes need to be made day of they should be minor changes. Updated premiums will be posted here and on AKC's site soon.....and hopefully on our main website soon as well.
