So dreamy! This sweetie is made from a prom gown. It's covered in countless glass beads, branching out as delicate, flowering vines. The mane is soft marabou. The dragon is 22 inches long, with a 25-inch wingspan.

There's nothing that says Rennaisance Faire like the sound of bagpipes in the air. I've been listening to the call of the pipes and pub songs for the last couple weeks as I prepare for Renaissance Faire this weekend. The little guy is ready to join you for a pint and a song at the village pub.

The12 inch tall body is made from soft, gray corduroy. The distinctly American highlander outfit came from a tartan blanket. The buckles of his utility kilt as well as his sporran pouch are made of fine leather with a necklace chain and tiny metal beads to finish the look.

It's a common misconception that all my stuffies are mass-produced stuffed animals that I dress up . However, while I use all my own, original patterns for my creatures, I do occasionally give them a friend rescued from the bottom of a thrift shop bin.
Such was the case with this one-of-a-kind dragon and the rescued kids meal teddy bear that is now her companion. The bear got a makeover as a fairy with flowers, felt, lace, ribbon, and paint. She rides on a saddle/blanket of heavy embroidered satin that has gold wire fringe. The dragon is made from a pale pink, sequined dress and a matching velvet top, with gold braid as a nose band and pastel pink, satin ribbon reins. The wings are iridescent, silver, non-woven fabric from a tote bag. The head frills came from silk flowers.
As always, the dragon's legs are articulated with plastic joints and the eyes are hand-painted.

So elegant! This dragon was the child of a white velvet top and a wedding gown. The wings are satin-covered foam with wedding lace carefully stitch-ripped one stitch at a time from the gown. She has a string of faux pearls on one wrist and a silver ring on once finger. Her eyes are hand-painted gold.

So sweet that I may have a hard time adopting her off. This bubble fairy is made from a soft, plush blanket, with lace from a prom gown and leaves and petals from floral picks. She holds a bubble wand with a plastic bead "bubble." The eyes are hand-painted gold. The mouth is painted with translucent, glittering fabric paint. Her cute little pompom tail can be seen through the lace.

The pen is mightier than the sword, especially if it's a brass fountain pen. This little knight in shining armor comes with a brass shield (formerly belt buckle). He has a glitter-coated feather in his felt bycok hat. The lance shaft is wood with a gold-painted lamp finial at the end as a counterweight to the tip.
