Love and Kindness Threads — Our Story
Hi, I’m Wendy — the heart behind Love and Kindness Threads!
At 53 years old I was given the opportunity, for the first time in my life, to thoughtfully choose what I wanted to do for a living. The problem was, I had no idea what that was! I had never given it a thought until it was presented to me. I had no idea what my passion was or how to find it. I knew I wanted to make a difference and have a positive impact on as many people as I could, I just didn’t know how.
Personally, I have struggled with self-worth most of my life, and still struggle with it most days. In these struggles, I realized how powerful even a little kindness and love can be. A simple word, a smile, or someone reminding you that you matter can completely change how you feel about yourself and the world around you.
I know I’m not alone in struggling with my self-worth, and I wanted to create something that would remind people of the good that still exists, and encourage them not only to believe it, but to also pass it on to others. That’s how Love and Kindness Threads was born!
A black shirt with a message in bold white lettering followed by a single red heart. Simple, but powerful. It’s not about selling the shirts; it’s about the message. Every design is intentional — words that uplift, inspire, and give hope.
My wish is that when someone wears one of these shirts, or simply reads it while someone else is wearing it, that it reminds them that they matter and that they are loved. I believe that love IS actually the “answer”, and that love and kindness really does ripple outward.
One person, one message, and in this case….one thread at a time.
