🌎 🧶 World On a String Designs will be at the Machias Fiber Festival on Saturday, September 12th from 9 am - 2 pm at the Elm Street School. Come say hi and visit us and the many other wonderful vendors.

We will have a limited number of themed bundles, many project bags, hand-dyed sock yarn, yarn cozies, stitch stoppers and steeking scissors. Hope to see you there!

I finished my Sock Week 2026 socks just in time. The yarn is the Tulip Field Frolic sock set from Valerie Casey | Sunset Fiber Company

The pattern is the Fairground Socks by Kay Jones. I think the waves in the pattern are the perfect nod to the tulip inspiration for the yarn and the garden theme for this year's Sock Week, hosted by Natalie aka Knitty Natty

Now the race is on to see if I can finish either of the other two socks I cast on last Sunday - a vanilla socks using a Bliss Box August 2025 set from Nina | Speckled Finch Studios and a vanilla rib sock using Cascade Heritage Quattro from my deep, deep stash. I'm going for broke with the Speckled Finch Hearty Sock - wish me luck!
