Stash Enhancement Fiber House was born out of an intersection of love of fiber, and generous foresight. Joan Schwartzberg loved Woodstock and was an extremely prolific fiber artist. Her love of the arts helped make this unique place possible. Many of Joan's works are on display in the fiber house. We have an extensive fiber art library for use by anyone while in the house, and a stocked materials room. We have spinning wheels and spindles, fabric and patterns, knitting and crochet tools, tons of yarn, raw fleeces and processed fibers, and a wonderfully cozy environment. We also have ukuleles, but letâs not get ahead of ourselves. I, Jessie Driscoll, have been into fiber art for 15 years. It is my hobby, and I have learned so much that I want to share. I love to process wool from scratch, and I am happy to offer free workshops (materials included) to those who are interested. I process raw wool (clean and comb or card), spin yarn in many ways (from disciplined thread to super bulky art yarn, and everything in between), knit, crochet and design. I teach wool processing and spinning, and other volunteers teach knitting (and we will add other disciplines over time). We have a bi-monthly Pot Luck Craft Group. Bring a project or start one at the group. Come when you can. Follow this page to stay up to date, and please send me your email address if youâd like to always be in the know. If you know anyone you think would be into this, please tell them about it!
The Stash Enhancement Etsy shop, separately owned and not connected to the Fiber House, specializes in luxury fibers (such as vicuna, qiviut, cashmere, silk, ultrafine merino and bunny angora) for spinners - in carded batts, top, sliver or roving. You can also find handmade fiber tools, and lots of knitting and crochet patterns, as well as other special things.
