Yohji Yamamoto’s Triple Collar shirt design..

The legendary 82-year-old Japanese designer, renowned for his avant-garde approach to traditional tailoring, launched his premier menswear line in 1984.

The triple collar is a simple yet elusive design, often featured on white button-ups as shown here on this 1990s version and released again for the Autumn/Winter 2018 collection. The 1990s collar is crafted from different fabrics — cotton, nylon and polyester — while the later version uses three layers of cotton alone. Both are finished with a slightly oversized fit and mother-of-pearl button closure.

Listed before but wanted to showcase this beautiful piece again — a discontinued design from CCP studio, this blazer features a sharp European tailored design, exposed titanium prosthetics at both elbow, hand-stitched detailing throughout and an unlined body with Carol’s signature yellow taped seam that look like it has been painted on with brushes.
