Some of our students are assembling Dove bags for the homeless. Each bag has personal hygiene products, socks, water with electrolyte packets, sunscreen, SPF chapstick, a hat, sunglasses, and some shelf stable food. We also include the gospels in both English and Spanish. The ministry adds a dove chocolate to each bag so there is something nice and a reminder of hope. We were each a prodigal child once, let us always be thankful for the redeeming power and grace of Jesus Christ. We must serve without becoming the self-righteous older brother who could not welcome his lost brother back home.

I am saved by the blood of Jesus, my Lord. He has allowed me to forever exchange my brokenness for his perfection. If you have also accepted this gift then we are spared from God’s wrath of judgement. (Big ole’ Holy But incoming)….. BUT, we are still called to pursue God’s Righteousness and his plan for our lives. Pew-sitter is not a spiritual gift nor is salvation a free pass to just abandon Holy and Righteous living. Join us Sunday for worship while we do our humble best to sort this all out. Worship is at 10:30. Casual dress is expected.

Plan now to join Coast Community Church for Beach Worship, Baptism, and Fellowship on Sunday, June 23rd at the Long Beach Harbor Pavilion. Regulars, guests, vacationers, ALL are welcome. We will provide pulled pork and chicken sandwiches, chips and drinks. Bring a side or dessert or just yourself! We have the pavilion for the day so plan a day of Beach Fun and Fellowship!

Sunday is Father’s Day, and regardless of how great or challenging your relationship is with your biological father, you are the most valuable possession in all the earth to your Heavenly Father! Over the next two Sundays we will explore A Tale of Two Prodigals. I cannot think of a better Sunday to come home! Worship is at 10:30. Casual dress is fine! Loud babies and wild children are celebrated. Messy lives are welcomed because we all run to the Father, Again, and Again, and Again.

Tomorrow will be our 5th week of our Holy series, scripture will be 1st Peter chapter 5. Peter reminds us to be humble and we are a body of believers that strives to be both Healthy and Holy. We have prayed over each seat and facet of our sanctuary and we have prayed for you! We would love to worship with you tomorrow at 10:30. Dress casual or get fancy, (but we’ll be casual). Happy Mother’s Day to all who play the role of Mother and we pray especially for those who face the sting of loss and those who long to conceive!
