Today we held the final leadership and peer network workshop of our current 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 | 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 cohort.
Participants presented their growth plans and shared their personal development journey on the programme so far.

It’s Earth Day 🌎 and this year’s theme is “Planets vs Plastics” to raise awareness of the harm plastic is doing to our human and planetary health. Sometimes as parents, this sort of day can feel heavy, we’re already trying to do so much but yet we also feel like we’re not doing enough.
We feel like that too. As parents of three young children, we were concerned about the amount of plastic waste we were generating in our home. It was hard to know where to start but we decided to look at our routine and see where we could make small, manageable plastic swaps. This led us to our mission to make bath time plastic-free.
Having seen shampoo bars for adults we looked for a child-friendly version so that we could replace all the plastic bottles in our bathroom. But with no luck (especially for our child with allergy-prone skin!) we decided to create our own range of plastic-free solid shampoo specially formulated for children.
As a family and as a brand, we are committed to helping other families make small swaps to reduce their plastic at bathtime too. Just one of our solid shampoo bars replaces 2 x 350ml plastic bottles so every time we use our bars we know we are moving in the right direction (plus there is now less shampoo being squirted down the plug hole!). We also made sure our packaging is fully recyclable and FSC-certified meaning it is only produced from sustainable sources.
It may be a small swap but we firmly believe that if a lot of us take small actions they’ll all add up and there is power in starting somewhere! 🌱🌿
