I’m LOVING this hidden pocket fabric I used on my emerald green walking skirt! I’m kind of obsessed with green this year.

When making my own wardrobe I don’t worry as much about historical accuracy with fabrics and prints, but do keep as close to silhouettes and methods as I can within the styles that I love. This fabric was super fun and gives me some serious dragon vibes 😂 I also embroidered some simple vines along the hem, which was really fun 🤩 I kept the vines simple, because any hem embellishment is bound to need to be redone after some wear 🤷‍♀️

It’s been a productive few days around here - made an adapted, stylized version of a c. 1750s vest with ruffles! It’s a little hard to see in the photo, but there are two layers of ruffles, custom bias binding, and boning to form stays and lacing support at the front and sides.
