1st two hats shaped up. Hst bands and liners still to go. One more coming in dark brown. Which color are you? Will have multiple sizes in each color.
These I am calling the "Modern Outlaw Series".

And so it starts.
Blocked 6 size 55 (6 7/8) lana wool hat bodies. They will be getting a cotton sweatband that is adjustable of about 1/2 a size. Three will be the modern outlaw style and three will be the modified gus style. Will be blocking the same in size 57, 58, 59, and 61.
These will be available for purchase in a few short weeks. Price to be determined.
Will spotlight each style in a future post.

Didn't like the 1st shape up. Didn't like the leather braid. Didn't like the brim 100%.

So.....
Little reshape into a gus/rca combo crown.
Little more lift on the brim sides, and a little more pull down on front and back. Left the pencil curl.
Little more outback outdoorsy.

If I left it with a flat brim and a front/back pull down, it would still be a great style for a true outdoors adventure hat.
Reworked the liner for a better fit with the crown style.

All in all, a lot better.

My first 100% rabbit outdoorsman hat.
Looking to add this style as an outdoorsy/adventure style. Modified gus crown, with a pencil curled brim with slight lift on sides, then a slight pull down in front and back to shed water, while having a maximum sun coverage.

I can see these being popular with the fishing and adventure crows. With me conformer showing up soon, these can be fitted exactly to your head shape giving you the best fit you've ever had.

Exciting new tool coming. This will allow an exact fit. You will never have an off the rack hat fit perfectly. A custom hat made by me will be an exact fit.

I think i settled on the two hat styles I will soon market.
Not your typical cattleman creased everyday cowboy hats.

-A modern outlaw (a little country and a little rock'n'roll)
-A modern western flair (a little more country and a little less rock'n'roll in a low crown Gus style)
-a third will be coming afterwards (hint..outdoorsy style)
-custom requests and custom builds.

Both will be:

Built Clean....Worn Hard.
