Lloyd’s camel hair jacket here has no shoulder padding at all and is completely unconstructed to give a more laid back shoulder line.

So, when the opportunity arose to work with Dave Jones—longtime Sky Sports presenter and a familiar face on Super Sunday and Monday Night Football—we were excited to bring our expertise to the table.

A Legendary Career, A Stylish Collaboration
Dave Jones’ illustrious career has made him a trusted voice in football. From presenting pivotal matches to engaging discussions with legends like Micah Richards, Roy Keane, and Daniel Sturridge, Dave is synonymous with football excellence. Our partnership began after creating bespoke suits for iconic footballers Darren Bent and Ian Wright, and we were thrilled to extend our craftsmanship to a presenter of Dave’s stature.

Crafting the Perfect Look
Ahead of the biggest match of the season—Manchester City facing Liverpool at Anfield—we welcomed Dave to our Shoreditch studio near Old Street for an initial consultation. During this session, we discussed his personal style, what works best on camera, and his specific needs for live broadcasting. We aimed to create an outfit that would combine comfort, elegance, and on-screen impact.

We chose an exceptional made-to-measure corduroy jacket crafted from luxurious Loro Piana cloth, paired with extra-fine merino wool mock neck knitwear. This combination exuded sophistication while offering the flexibility and comfort needed for hours in the studio. The rich texture of the cord jacket added depth, while the merino knitwear provided a modern, stylish twist.

A Seamless Process
Dave returned for a fitting, and the result was nothing short of perfect. No alterations were needed—everything fit like a glove. Dave left our studio ecstatic, ready to present the high-stakes showdown between a struggling Manchester City and a dominant Liverpool, alongside coverage of Chelsea vs. Aston Villa.

Dave’s presence on Super Sunday and Monday Night Football is about more than football analysis; it’s about setting the tone for an entire sporting event. His sharp, stylish appearance reflected the passion and professionalism he brings to the game.

We’re proud to have played a part in ensuring Dave looked his best on such an important broadcast. At Tailor Made London, every garment tells a story, and this one was all about excellence, from the football pitch to the studio floor.
