Cop mobile application from Jan 15 in twin cities

After making its presence felt on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, the commissionerate of police is all set to launch a mobile application.

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to launch the App on Police Raising Day here on January 15.

The proposed App will not only help citizens interact with police but also get services without any hassle.

A year which has two months (Adhika masa) of Ashadha as per the Hindu Calendar is auspicious for conducting the ceremony. This usually occurs every twelve to nineteen years. Kalijai Temple is located on an island in Chilika Lake. It is considered to be the abode of the Goddess Kalijai. Goddess Kalijai is actually Kali, the source and the first 'Mahavidya' of 'Dasmahavidyas'. Highly revered by the local populace, the deity has been venerated in the local folklores and legends. The island provides an excellent destination for pilgrims as well as tourists. Every year in January, a huge gala fair is held during the festival of Makar Sankranti.
