Threaded Embrace has evolved from my discovery and ever increasing passion for baby wearing since the birth of my daughter in 2012. In her early months I found baby wearing gave me the freedom to get out of the house and stay connected with my friends and family. As I fell further into the baby wearing rabbit hole I discovered new friends at local meets and tried new carriers; moving on from my or

iginal stretchy wrap. It was not long before my love of sewing and baby wearing combined and I began making carriers for my own use. These carriers were the gestation for the Threaded Embrace designs and I am thrilled to think that I will be able to help design and create the perfect carrier for others. Some of you may have received my email yesterday with this news but for those who did not I am sad to say that I will be gradually closing Threaded Embrace over the next few months.

Life has changed a lot for me over the last couple of years and I am no longer able to commit the time to Threaded Embrace that it needs. I have made the very difficult decision to close the business so I can focus on my family.

It really has been a wonderful thing to be part of the fibre community both locally and further afield and I will continue to spin, knit and dye for my own enjoyment when I can find those spare moments.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me in so many ways over the last 7 years. I have discounted all my hand dyed yarns and fibres by 20% so now is the perfect time to head over to my website and stock up on all the squishy goodness.

A reminder that the Guild Traders Day is on Saturday 8th at the Alexander Park Craft House.
There will be quite a few yarn and fibre businesses there with all our goodies and it’s open to the public so even if you aren’t a guild member you can come along and pick up some lovely fluff.
I’ll also be bringing along all my buttons and various other accessories.

These are a great addition to your knitting/crochet toolkit. Able to be used as a stitch marker, cable needle, i-cord needle and so so many other uses.

New product!
Those who received an advent got first hands on these new pom-poms. I have a small selection available at the moment which I will extend if you all like them.
They are all approx 10cm diameter and have a small elastic loop so you can make them removable for washing by sewing buttons on the inside of your items.
You can find them in the accessories section on my website.

And we have Rolags and Batts up on the website!
I’ve been trying to decide how to list these for a while but went with individual listings for each so the colours can all be seen easily and you can filter by colour/fibre etc.
I hand make all my batts and rolags on a blending board and frequently use small remnants of fibre that would otherwise be wasted so they’re usually one of a kind creations (I believe they’re technically fauxlags but it’s potayto/potahto unless you’re a technical spinner).

Let’s talk bases.
I currently have quite a few bases in both yarn and fibre which makes it hard to stock much of any one colourway/base.
I’m thinking about reducing the selection a little this year so I’d love to know which you’d most like to see in stock.
My current bases are;
Wool & Blend Yarns:
White Gum Wool Fingering/4ply
White Gum Wool DK/8ply
White Gum Wool Merino/Silk Sock (4ply)
Embrace Lace (Merino/Silk 2ply)
