I've been away from my studio since May 25 when my close friend had a heart attack and passed away on June 1st. It's been hard for me to concentrate on anything. This weekend I decided it was time to get back to work. Pulled out may collection of Japanese woven fabrics and this is on the wall today. Background yet to come.

I finished the top this morning. Just have to add a 2inch black border and it can go into the queue for quilting.

These are blocks from paper pieced classes i used to teach. There were put away when I retired and last week showed back up. I have an extensive Asian fabric collection, so pulled pieces to finish off this wall hanging. It's ready for borders now.

This is the new palette I'm working with. And yes those are Y seam squares of the top of the rows.

I recently decided that I was in the mood for quilting one of the many tops that I've accumulated over the past year. So I pulled my Spider Web top and used the ruler to echo quilt the background fabrics. All bound and sleeved.
