I would like to share my story with you, and give you a little background behind Sassy Styles with Jackie. Get comfy!
Ok, for those that know me, and I mean REALLY know me, know that for my whole life, I was not a fan of jewelry. Borderline hatred for it. I've never been and will never be a "girlie girl". I never understood the reasoning behind all the makeup and expensive things girls think they needed to have or do to impress someone else.
Fast forward to within the last year, I have met a ton of fabulous people (and some not so fabulous) through the art community and anyone who is an artist of any kind, knows that art doesn't quite pay the bills so of course people have regular full time jobs. Gotta pay for those art supplies somehow! lol Some of them are small business owners with different direct sales companies. And I know what you're thinking, oh no, pyramid scheme. Well, can some of them be a pyramid scheme? Sure! But, if you think of it, do you really think corporate America isn't?
As some of you know I had joined one company back in February. I love the quality of the products and some of you are my customers. (Thank you for your support!) But when I joined, I had a full time job and it was more of a hobby for me, a side hustle to pay for any extras that my "regular" job didn't take care of.
Back in April/May, the "regular" job was no more. Well, isn't that just fantastic! So while I was looking for new jobs online for something similar, I was thinking to myself, "do I really want to continue dealing with the attitude like those of previous bosses?", "do I want to work my butt off for a pay that's not worth it?", "do I want to be reminded that no matter how good a job I do for someone else, it's never good enough" and my favorite of course, "you can be replaced". Absolutely not!
A very good friend of mine, was part of Paparazzi Accessories and I had made a few purchases before from him & other consultants. I was surprised at the quality & details that the jewelry has for being $5. I thought to myself, "I just might want to get into selling this", and I started asking lots of questions about the business cause I knew he would be honest and not "pitch" to me. So I took the plunge and joined his team. Was it risky? Sure! I mean, I lost my "regular" income and the other business doesn't pay me enough to take care of the bills.
I could be mad that I no longer had my "regular job", but instead I am extremely happy. I don't have to deal with them anymore, I am my own boss. I put in the hard work and get something in return. Is it an easy income? No. You have to work at it. Can you get rich quick? Nope. You get out what you put into it. If you think people are just gonna be like "here, do nothing and take my money", you're nuts! I have AMAZING customers that are very supportive of me and my small business and I'm working to build that customer base. I have met some wonderful people within the Papa family (sisters and misters) that are supportive in so many ways. I feel like part of a family, a team of people that want me to be successful and cheer me on along the way, and it means the world to me.
Am I here to pitch to you? No. I know what people think about direct sales companies, I was one of them. I hated jewelry, now I just love the new sparkly things I can buy for myself and my customers. I am grateful for the opportunity of getting to know fabulous people, consultants and customers. I told you my story so you can better understand the person behind Sassy Styles with Jackie. So you can understand how I went from hating jewelry to sharing and selling it. So you can know how when you're stuck or you're comfortable with a job you HATE and you're surrounded by people who knock you down and don't believe in you, that there is something bigger and better out there waiting for you. You just have to believe in yourself and make things happen. Stop making excuses and make changes. Things won't just happen for you, you have to work at it and in the end, it's worth it. It's worth the new people I meet that I can call friends, not just customers. It's worth the time and effort to be part of something that you can be proud of.
I know there are people just like me reading this, and you know, if you want to change the direction you've been going, be part of a family, an opportunity and are serious about it, then yes, I would love to have you as part of my team. I would love to help you grow as a person, show you that people believe in you, all you have to do is believe in yourself. And if you don't want to join my team, that's ok. If you don't want to buy jewelry, that's ok too. We all live paycheck to paycheck, I completely understand. Support comes in many ways.
I'm not here to nag & beg you to support me, make purchases & join my team. I'm here to let you know that I appreciate the opportunities that I have received and that if you really want to make changes, you can. If I can, so can you. I'm here to say thank you. Thank you to those that believe in me, you know who you are! Thank you to my customers that hang out with me and have fun when clearly they could be doing anything else. Your time, conversation and belief in me keeps me going! Thank you for being you & for allowing me to be me!
