June is officially FULL! Every appointment slot for the rest of the month is booked, and honestly, I couldn't be more grateful for each and every one of you who trusts me to come out and work with your horses.

Why I choose Erreplus (and why the tree matters)

When you’re shopping for a saddle, its easy to get caught up in leather, blocks, and how pretty it looks.
But the TREE is the foundation, and its one of the biggest reasons I love working with Erreplus.

Erreplus synthetic trees are mold-injected with:
85% nylon
15% fiberglass

That blend matters because it creates a tree that is strong and stable, but still allows for precise width adjustments when your horse needs it.

What that means for you and your horse:

Not all “certifications” are created equal.

In our industry, it’s easy to collect “letters” after your name. It’s harder to collect real hours in the field, with real horses, with real problems to solve.

A certificate can tell you someone sat in a class.
Experience tells you they can:
• read what the horse is saying
• explain the “why” in plain language
• make smart changes and then re-check the horse in motion
• put the horse first (even when it means NOT selling you something)

If you’re choosing a saddle fitter, ask about training AND ask about what they do day-to-day. Who did they apprentice with? How do they evaluate fit dynamically? What’s their process when the horse says “nope”?

If you’ve been told “your saddle is fine” but your horse is telling you otherwise, let’s talk.

• how balanced you can sit as a rider

Saddle fit is about more than whether a saddle “looks right” — it affects how pressure is distributed on the horse’s back, how freely the horse can move, and how balanced the rider can sit. A good fit supports comfort and performance; a poor fit can contribute to soreness and show up as resistance or behavior changes under saddle. Fit also isn’t static: flocking settles and horses’ bodies change with conditioning, time off, age, and workload, so a saddle that fit well before may not fit the same later. If you’re noticing new tension, unevenness, or sensitivity, it’s worth reassessing saddle fit as part of the whole picture.

Is your saddle quietly causing trouble?

Here’s what we see a lot. A horse gets stiff, starts moving choppy, or the rider feels off to one side.

Those can be early signs that the saddle needs a tweak, not a total panic.

Heads up, friends:

I'll be out of town May 14 through May 21 traveling to Italy to visit the Erreplus Saddlery factory with fellow Erreplus fitters for meetings and training!

I will still be available for messages and emails to schedule appointments and answer questions while I'm away.

What will pause during that window is shipping from the shop. Any orders placed while I'm traveling will go out when I'm back on May 21.
