Cheetahs 🐆, the breathtaking blur across the savannah, are not only the fastest land animals—capable of reaching speeds up to 75 miles per hour 💨 —but are also crucial to their ecosystem.

They help maintain the balance by preying on animals that may otherwise overgraze vital plant life. Despite their ecological importance 🌱 , cheetahs are in peril, their numbers dwindling due to habitat loss and human pressures.

Critically Endangered Socks is on a mission to turn the tide for these spotted sprinters, donating 10% of every sale to the World Wildlife Fund 🐼.

These contributions aid local communities in Sub-Saharan Africa to better manage their lands and extend the protected wilderness, providing a sanctuary where cheetahs can thrive.

This alliance of fashion and conservation weaves hope for the cheetah's future with every pair sold.

Our new trainer socks are here and they celebrate the worlds fastest animals.

Up first, the saker falcon. A majestic raptor with piercing eyes and powerful wings, soars through the skies at breakneck speeds of up to 200 miles per hour.

This formidable bird of prey is not only one of the fastest creatures on Earth but also one of the most endangered.

Habitat loss and illegal trapping have cast a shadow over its population, sparking an urgent call to action.

Charities like race against time, much like the falcon's own hunting sprints, striving to protect this avian wonder, ensuring its fierce cry and breathtaking agility grace our skies for generations to come.

We’re proud to collaborate with to help protect this beautiful falcon.

Happy Earth Day.

A day to raise awareness for our planets most amazing wildlife and natural spaces 🏔️

Today, we want to celebrate the orangutan 🦧 Over 17 years ago, Dom our founder visited Borneo and got a glimpse of the critically endangered orangutan for the first time. This encounter gave him the energy and drive to create Critically Endangered Socks and do his part to protect these incredible creatures from harm in collaboration with 🐼

So today, on Earth Day, we encourage you to take action to protect the planet and all its creatures - including the orangutan. Together, we can make a difference.

Fun fact
Did you know that orangutans actually create elaborate nests 🪹 in the trees out of leaves and branches, which they use to sleep in at night 🤯

The hotly debated GOTS organic cotton VS Bamboo fibre 🥵

As we all know, greenwashing and lack of information is a real problem in sustainable fashion. So we want to take this opportunity to talk about bamboo.

Sure, bamboo socks may seem like the eco-friendly choice. They are soft, breathable, renewable and who doesn’t love pandas 🐼. Also bamboo itself can be a highly sustainable crop, if grown under the right conditions.

But lets get real here. The manufacturing process of bamboo is intensive and involves toxic chemicals. With the mass of chemicals used leaving a harmful impact on both the environment and the workers involved.

What’s more, bamboo fibres aren’t regulated, so it’s currently difficult to know if the bamboo is grown in parts of the world where primary rainforest used to stand.

This is why we moved away from bamboo and use GOTS organic cotton instead. We're talking about socks made from organic cotton that's grown without any nasty pesticides, synthetic fertilizers or GM seeds. That supports small-scale, sustainable and ethical practices and farming communities, without the use of harmful chemicals. That is softer, more breathable and hypoallergenic.

So sock it to 'em with a pair of GOTS organic cottons that save species 🦧

This is me, in 2017.

It wasn’t the first time I’d seen Borneo Orangutans in the wild 🦧 But it was in this peaceful, sweaty and glorious moment, where I decided I was going to start a company that would help protect these wild, furry, orange great apes.

6 years on and the mission has stayed the same.

Find the thing that makes you mad, makes you excited, gives you a shot of adrenaline and use that energy to create. My thing was orangutans 🦧

We’re proud of this quote from

Jane Goodall is a truly inspiring figure who has dedicated her life to the conservation of wildlife and the protection of our planet.

Her groundbreaking research on chimpanzees has revolutionized our understanding of these intelligent animals and helped to raise awareness about the importance of preserving their habitats.

There are still a few socks that were created for the collaboration between us and the brilliant Jane Goodall. Click the link in the image to grab yourself one and help protect the chimpanzees.

Hello, squeak, roar.

I’d like to introduce myself (& reintroduce myself to some of you).

I’m Dom. I’m the founder of Critically Endangered.

It all started in the jungles of Borneo (jump to last photo 👦) almost 16 years ago, where I was lucky enough to lay eyes on endangered Orangutans in the wild for the first time. But it was during this trip where I also witnessed first hand the waves of palm oil plantations ripping through the primary rainforest.

I could never quite get the beautiful landscape, animals and people of Borneo out of my head so 6 years ago (jump to the second 🧀 photo) I went back.

A year later and a wall of 4,000 eco socks stored in my bedroom in Brixton, I started the business.

Since then our mission has never wavered. To protect the worlds most endangered animals through selling luxury and sustainable socks and sleepwear for women, men and baby.

We are now super proud to be collaborating with one of the largest and most inspiring charities and to have expanded our range from just socks to baby socks and PJs.

2023 is a going to be a big year for us, not only will we keep pushing the products that we love, but we’re also expanding our luxuary sustainable range of Pyjamas and have some exciting new products on the way. But that’s all we’re revealing for now.

The point of this message most of all was to thank each and everyone of you for your support and love. We’ve hit some amazing milestones; raising £16,000 for charity, collaborating with some of the biggest names in conservation like and helping even more endangered animals. And we really couldn’t do it without you.

So thankyou and here’s to 2023.

🙏🦧
