A truth about parenting that doesn’t get said enough: you don’t have to love every single moment of it. 💚
You can be deeply grateful for your child and still find parts of this really hard. You can love them more than anything and still want five quiet minutes to yourself. You can know this is the life you always wanted and still feel overwhelmed by the noise, the mess, the constant pull of being needed.
If that guilt has ever crept in, this is your reminder that wanting space doesn’t make you less loving. It doesn’t make you less patient. And it definitely doesn’t make you a bad parent. Some parts of parenting are beautiful. Some parts are heavy. Most days are both.
Save this for a day when the guilt feels loud. 🤍
