Choose to learn God's Word. God has given us individual gifts, and we are not all called to be pastors, evangelists, or teachers. However, we are called and encouraged to spend time in God's Word so we can understand it by reading it, listening to it, or being around others learning it. This will allow us to gain wisdom by applying His truth to our lives. It is important we learn the Word for ourselves so when others try to twist scripture to meet their needs, we must be able to rightly divide the Word of truth. As Christians. we must diligently study, ask questions, and work at presenting ourselves approved to God. Our work will be judged in the end, so we want to work hard and not be ashamed when our work is examined by God. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to thank and praise God. It isn't possible to rise each day and not be thankful. God grants us the gift of life for eternity. We hear daily about self-love and look to ourselves to get what we want. When we don't get these things, we tend to grumble, our hearts become negative, and we constantly complain. He gives us many gifts and talents for His purpose and glory, but let us not forget that they come from Him. Entering into God's presence with gratefulness and gratitude can alleviate the anxiety, fear, and stress of thinking we can handle everything on our own. We can not expect, or will, everything happen, as we plan, and we may not understand why. Choosing to praise and thank God for his goodness, kindness, and love should be intentional and habit forming. So today, let us encourage ourselves to be thankful and full of gratitude for what He has done for us. Also, don't keep it to ourselves.Tell others about His goodness and how grateful we are to serve Him. "The more you practice the art of thankfulness, the more you have to be thankful for." Choose to make God most important in your life. We are faced with challenges and rough times on this journey called life. During the times when it feels things are bigger than us and we're uncertain where to direct our focus, we can trust that God is in our midst and He wants to be most important in our lives. When we repent and ask Him into our lives, we can be certain He remains the same. As His children, He loves us with everlasting love, covers us with protection, and rejoices in our love for Him. Choose to complete the mission. God has given us all a mission, and we can carry it out on a daily basis. That mission is to tell others about the good news of Jesus. For many, the focus is on our families, careers, and possessions. We can focus on these things toward the completion of our mission, but don't get distracted. God wants us to raise families according to His way and to share His grace and tell of His goodness on our jobs, at school, or wherever we come into contact with other people. Yes, there will be obstacles along the way, but pray for boldness and courage to complete your assignment. So today, let us think about how we spend our time and use every opportunity to live our lives on mission for God. Focus our heart and mind on Him, knowing there is no greater work than fulfilling the mission we have been given. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to give our troubles to God. On a daily basis, there are so many things happening all around us. Things in our personal, family, and professional life, as well as things in the country and world. If we allow them, they become hardships and affect us physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally. During these times, it is important for us to seek God's presence in the midst of situations. He is always near, and He knows of our anxiety, financial issues, heartbreak, grief, and sorrow. He meets us right where we are. So today, let us stop pretending we can carry our troubles and the burdens all around us and surrender to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will

Choose to move in love. Move is an action word. We are called to move in love; loving, serving, and prioritizing one another. Jesus is our optimal example of what it means to love. He not only loved and served passionately, but He did it with care, compassion, and kindness. When we choose to love one another, be sure to let others love us. As givers and caregivers of love, we tend to forget to take care of ourselves emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. So today, be a giver and receiver as you move in love. Choose to make Jesus Lord of your life. How often in life do we try to be good enough? We all attempt to be kind and decent people. However, when it comes to following Christ, there is no way to earn, buy, influence, or control our way into salvation. Because Jesus purchased our freedom on the cross, it is extended to us as a gift. We only need to accept and receive it. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's requirements and need His grace. We must surrender, submit, and choose to give everything to Him in prayer, knowing His decision is best, and follow His will. So today, like the two sinners that hung next to Jesus on the cross, we have the choice to either mock or trust Him. He has already made a way, and He alone can save us. Let us not just need His grace, but receive His grace. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to have inner-strength. Physical strength is definitely important, but our inner strength is even more important. Whatever God has called us to do, the source resource and strength will come from Him. We are not to think that we can do anything in our own strength. The outward appearance of what we're doing is not nearly as important of who we become. God provides us with the inner-strength of the Fruit of the Spirit -- love joy, peace, patience, and all that comes from the power of God. So today, be reminded that God is not an unlimited God. Nothing is too hard for Him. Let us ask Him to help us in the areas of our lives where we can use the gifts, talents, and resources He has given us to help, and be a light to others in the building of His Kingdom. Choose to humble yourself before God. In our society, a lot of emphasis is put on self. Self-help, self-reliance, self dependent, and so many more self-(fill in the blank). There is nothing wrong with wanting to improve self. However, what we don't want to forget is that we can't stand on our own. We need God every minute of every day. We will realize we are not enough without Jesus, but He is enough for us. Pride can affect our hearts in so many ways. It can puff us up or tear us down. Pride increases our confidence when we are doing good, but in a tough season, it can make us sensitive to our failure. Pride connects our worth to our achievements but hinders us from seeing who we honestly are. So today, let us humble ourselves, be obedient, and surrender unto Him our pride and insecurities, and He will allow us to see ourselves the way He sees us. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to proclaim God's greatness. We should all be excited to give thanks and proclaim the goodness of God. When we take time to reflect on what God has already done for us, gratitude overflows, and we can acknowledge His faithfulness and how He has shown His unending love. Praising God for who He is a means of encouraging others to seek Him. The more we call on Him, the closer we get and understand Him. His name is great, and He is greatly to be praised. As we respect and recognize God for who He is, to worship Him with thanksgiving comes easily. We are to celebrate God personally and then tell everyone we know to proclaim His greatness and inspire others to seek Him for themselves. Choose to pray so you can see God work today. It's amazing how things can be going wonderfully well. Our desires are falling into place, and out of nowhere, something happens to upset the cycle of good things. During these times, God calls us to lean into our faith and rest in confidence that the Holy Spirit is working, interceding, advocating, celebrating, and grieving with us. We are to pray that God will work in our hearts as we grieve major losses, He will work for our good as we heal from broken relationships, and our desires are aligned with His will. So today, let us confess that we are weary, need rest, and need Him. Believe that God is good and He is near even when we are experiencing something that isn't good. Trust. He will redeem our lives for our good and His glory. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to love as dearly loved children. Children copy what they hear from others and imitate what they see. They learn from those around them. As adults, we do the same things. What we imitate is not always that of dearly loved children. We are to reflect God and: forgive like He has forgiven us, serve others like He's served us, and love others like He's shown us. God's love is not earned. He wants us to receive it. His love is unconditional and constant. He does not leave us. So today, let us live be like dearly loved children and not harden our hearts, but open them like children without doubt that are deeply loved. Choose to face our circumstances, trusting God. We are all facing something in our personal, family, or work lives that causes us to struggle emotionally, physically, or spiritually. If we watch the news, it seems things are going from bad to worse. In our humanness, all of this can cause fear and anxiety. When we are going through the difficult seasons, it is important to reflect and be reminded how God brought us through previous situations. God is at work behind the scenes, increasing our mental and moral qualities when we don't see it. We can persevere knowing there is victory in Jesus, that God goes before us in all we do, and trust that our circumstances are helping us to become the person God intends us to be. So today, move and press on. Stand firm and believe there is a promised reward in heaven for those who love God. We will receive our crowns and live in eternity with our Lord and Savior. Choose to love like Jesus. We all know of someone, whether they are family, friends, or co-workers, they can be difficult, and we have to engage with them. God's Word encourages us to love those around us. Although, as followers of Christ, we should be the most lovable. However, that is not always the case. We are to do what seems impossible to those who have hurt and disappointed us. We are not able to do this in our own strength. God gave us His spirit to empower us with no strings attached. So today, let us thank God that even with our mistakes, He is willing to love, encourage, strengthen, and fill us with compassion so we can emulate the love He has for us to others. He wants us to share His unconditional love. We are loving because he is love. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to believe you are part of God's plan. Everything begins with, is created by, and comes from God, including us. He gave us a brain to think with, a heart that beats, and lungs that control our breathing. He filled us with talents that are gifts to us, He gives us hopes and desires to look forward and dream, and a heart of compassion, not selfishness. We are a part of God's plan, and He works through us. With the power and ability to do what pleases Him, we are able to actively participate in the plans. When we accept and belong to Him, we are guided by the Holy Spirit as we read His Word. We learn of His character and what is pleasing to Him. We are to pray and ask Him to do what is pleasing to Him. We are to belong to a church community and walk with others whom God is also working with and encourage one another. So today, let us thank God for His faithfulness and for Him making a way to know Him. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to praise God daily. When most of us are faced with a challenge and we're overwhelmed, our first thought is most likely, "How am I going to handle this?" Rather than "God, how are you going to handle this?" We are to be reminded that we have access to God's presence right now, in the moment. Yes, He is the God of eternity, but we don't have to wait until Heaven to be in His presence. His plan is to bring us joy and Him glory. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can experience His power in ourselves as He leads us, and we follow. So today, let us give Him all praise for the blessings of salvation. He does not require us to bear our burdens alone, but let's us bring them to Him. He never leaves us when we feel hopeless and is always there to support us. He is the God of our salvation and worthy of our praise at all times. In Jesus' name.🙏🏾❤️

Choose to submit your thoughts to the Holy Spirit. One of the things that makes us unique and different as individuals is how we react differently to the same situation. One person looks at a situation from the flesh and the other from the Spirit. When we look at a situation from the flesh, we tend to think we have control over it and our mental and physical being are affected. When we approach a situation by setting our minds on the Spirit with gratitude and trust in our Heavenly, Father, the result is that of peace and joy, in spite of the chaos. So today, let us choose the Spirit over the flesh. Take time to sit silently in prayer, worship, and trust. We get to choose to align our thoughts with God and experience a peace that is beyond understanding. In Jesus' name.
