Last day of school for us included one special graduation and two new dresses! These were fun to bring to life and the oldest already has plans for a few more variations 😆 So excited for a summer with them before they head into Kinder and 3rd!!! I will still be taking orders on a limited basis 😊

Truth be told, I've been a little down lately. Processing lots of things, praying over decisions and sometimes it's easy, with the constant barrage of information, to just loose perspective on goodness. This morning, God knew I needed to witness some kindness in humanity and I did. The simplest act can have such an impact; a stranger backing out of the crosswalk they had pulled into during the red light and the walker waving a thank you as they crossed. I challenge you to LOOK for kindness around you today. I'm not talking about paying for the coffee behind you, I'm not talking about DOING a random act of kindness... that's always a good thing BUT I'm talking about taking NOTICE of kindness happening around you. Remembering that in fact, when our country can feel so divided, upended and hostile, there are people loving people all around us, every day ❤ And I'd really love it, if you came back here to my little space and shared what you've witness to help uplift all of us with fresh hope and perspective. 🙏

Who I am...

A few years ago I discovered a new outlet for my creativity through sewing. A dear friend insisted I could learn, convinced me to buy my first machine, showed me how to thread it and sew straight lines. With the help and encouragement of other sweet friends who were generous with their time, talent and notions, I ventured into the world of sewing and found myself experiencing satisfaction in my final products which I hadn’t felt since laying out a floor plan during my days as an Interior Designer. The passion I had for creating something out of nothing that I loved utilizing in my work at an architecture firm, now had an outlet in re-purposing old dress shirts or combining seemingly incompatible fabrics into beautiful tiered dresses for my girls. As I continue to increase my skill sets, I’ve decided to heed the suggestions of countless loved ones and share my talent with others through my new boutique - Needle and Thread.
