I hemmed and narrowed 2 pairs of uniform pants

Replaced a river on a pair of jeans

Made new simple curtains and curtain tie-backs

Mended a wool sweaters whoes wrist seam had come undone

I hemmed lots of different types of pants

I added a decorative end cover to an older blanket to prolong its life

I mended a wool sweater

I put a drawstring into a pair of Capri pants.

June is National Indigenous History Month - Do you want to learn more about Indigenous Nations, cultures, their languages, businesses and artists/creatives on Vancouver Island?

My daughter Renee created this website: https://www.viindigenousinfo.com/ as a youth ambassador for the Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjak Fund last year. There is loads of information to read and begin your own journey toward Truth and Reconciliation.

She created an Indigenous Place Names brochure for Vancouver Island and I put the site together with the information she had researched.
