The new website is live at www.bythemorningmoon.com!

I’ve been working on this transition during little breaks from sewing over the last few weeks. The move gives me better tools for managing inventory and collecting data as well as creating a (hopefully) smoother shopping experience.

You may notice a few quirks as I learn the new platform and work out any kinks. If something seems off, please let me know.

A quick note: many items are currently showing as sold out while I build inventory for the July release. More wooly goodness is on the way.

A big thank you to Sarah for this super fun custom order. As I’ve gotten busier, I’ve been moving more toward ready-to-ship pieces because custom work takes a lot of time behind the scenes. But I don’t think I’ll ever completely give it up. Seeing the color combinations people come up with is just too much fun.

A few years ago I was just beginning to sew these wool suits. I was slowly dipping my toes into color beyond the usual neutrals.

Over time, my own children and my customers helped make the shift to the wonderfully vibrant business it is now.

Real sewing spaces look like real life.

I think a lot of people want to sew, but feel like they need more space or the perfect setup before they begin. But you can just…start.

Sewing clothing can feel far more intimidating than it actually is. So many things are really just larger tasks broken down into tiny manageable steps over time.

I think a lot more people could make things if they were simply shown how approachable sewing can become one small piece at a time.
