A new era. A new identity to match the aspirations of SAWP and its athletes.

Designed for the European Nations tour, our new kit brings together SA Water Polo’s own colours and a bold South African-inspired pattern that gives the team a powerful and unmistakable national identity.

Take a closer look at the design. It is more than decoration - it is a visual language for who we are.

The circular motifs carry a double meaning: each one reads as both a water droplet and the ball itself. Inspired by Africa’s rich textile traditions, the pattern has been designed to say “South Africa” the moment our players step onto the pool polo. 🇿🇦

Hi everyone 💚🇿🇦

Two of our own, Megan and Ashley, have been selected to represent South Africa at the EU Nations Water Polo Tournament in the Czech Republic this October, as part of the first-ever SAWP Women’s National Team.

Both are former NMB players, proudly hail from the Eastern Cape, and represented South Africa at the Tokyo Olympic Games. They have also spent many years giving back to our sport through coaching.

We are incredibly proud of these two homegrown Olympians and would love for the NMB water polo community to get behind them. They have launched a BackaBuddy campaign to help cover the remaining costs of the tour.

For most teenagers, July holidays are a chance to slow down. For London Remley, they’re an opportunity to represent South Africa.

The young water polo player has earned selection for South Africa’s Under-16 women’s team that will compete at the World Aquatics U16 Water Polo Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, from 25 to 31 July.

It’s a moment she admits still feels surreal.

“At first, I was surprised and I genuinely couldn’t believe it, but definitely a lot of excitement,” she said. “It’s definitely an honour to represent my country.”

Welcome to the Team: Caitlin Scrimgeour is Staunch.
The family keeps growing.

At Staunch, we don’t just partner with anyone. We look for individuals who embody the grit, discipline, and passion that defines the Water Polo Lifestyle. Following the recent addition of Dylan Wiggill, we are stoked to officially announce our newest Staunch Athlete: Caitlin Scrimgeour.

Caitlin isn't just a player; she’s a force. Whether she’s leading as a 1st Team Captain or representing her country on the world stage, she brings a level of intensity and leadership that is exactly what this movement is about. From the pool in Bedfordview to the World Championships in Turkey, Caitlin lives the lifestyle every single day.

In Caitlin’s Own Words:
"Sport is my life! It is my happy place, my safe place. I started playing water polo in Grade 8 after Mr. Ackermann asked me to help out, and I instantly fell in love with the game. I love the camaraderie with my team and how physically challenging the sport is.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to be guided by Mr. Ackermann; his passion and guidance have got me to where I am today. The competition is thrilling, and the friends and memories you make last a lifetime. I strive to be better and better."

The Vision:
Caitlin is built for the long game. Looking ahead to next year, she has her sights set on the Tuks 1st Team, focusing on elite technique and fitness to contribute to their success. Her ultimate goal is to represent South Africa again on the world stage and eventually step into a mentorship role to coach the next generation of players.

The Stats:

Position: Hole Marker / Hole Man

Recent Highlights: 2026 SA Schools Team (Australia), 1st Team Captain at Reddam House Bedfordview.

Global Experience: Represented South Africa U16 Women at the World Aquatics Championships in Turkey.

Tournament Pedigree: Named "Best Attacker" at the Saints Stayers and Steyn City tournaments, and "Player of the Tournament" at the Parktown Girls Tournament.

Caitlin’s recent seasons have been dominant, securing Gold with Central Gauteng and being named in the U19 Tournament Team. We couldn't be more proud to have her representing the Staunch brand.
