Many moons ago, this was just an unrealistic idea and a faraway dreamā¦
Since then, itās been countless late nights, setbacks, redesigns, testing, problem-solving, moments where we questioned and doubted everything, and then moments that reminded us exactly why we started. Weāve poured everything we have into building the Blue Crane Jacket, and every order, every message, every share, and every word of encouragement from you has helped keep us doing what we do.
As time passed, we noticed something special. We began receiving messages from people all over the world asking how they could get a Blue Crane Jacket. As time passed, those messages got more, and more, and more. What started as a proudly South African product suddenly had people from countries weād never even advertised to wanting one.
So we made a big decision.
On 22 July, weāll be launching globally on Kickstarter.
For those who arenāt familiar with Kickstarter, itās the worldās biggest crowdfunding platform. It gives creators the opportunity to launch products to a global audience, with supporters backing the project before production begins. For us, itās the chance to take a jacket designed and made right here in South Africa and introduce it to the world.
Donāt worryāweāre not leaving South Africa ā¤ļø Our jackets will still be available locally just as they always have been. This is simply the next chapter of our journey, and weād love nothing more than to have you along for the ride.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. None of this would be possible without this community. You believed in us long before the rest of the world had the chance to, and weāll never forget that.
