Sarah Feldman

Sarah Feldman Hi, I'm Sarah. Designer of modest women's fashion. Based in CT but ship worldwide. I'm Sarah Feldman, I was born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I have 10 siblings, some are rabbis, musicians, a photographer, artists and educators. My dad is a Rabbi / spiritual leader. My mom is the most generous person I know - she had 11 kids so I think that says enough about what an amazing person she is. I'm married to a wonderful man who is also a Rabbi. I'm a mom of 5 kids. So life is busy but exciting and I'd like to share it all with you. I've alwa

ys had a love for fashion. Growing up in an Orthodox religious home, there were always guidelines on dressing modestly. I often challenged some of the restrictions, but I've come to accept it, embrace it and believe that you can still be fashionable and modest at the same time. The one does not have to contradict the other. I'm passionate about helping people look their best, so that they can feel their best and therefore be the best person that they can possibly be. This year, I launched the Sarah Feldman fashion line which embraces modest stylish clothing. Through creating this, I am able to live my passion, adorn ladies with beautiful clothing, and which is my ultimate vision. Would love to hear your feedback and comments and get to know you.

We grew up going on holiday sometimes to Kruger and I have special Safari memories but I’ve always been scared when we’ve gotten too close to elephants because I remember on a few occasions how in a second they literally started charging us and it was touch and go more than once. When I saw the Elephant Sanctuary advertised on our most recent family holiday, we decided to check it out and it was definitely a highlight of our holiday. I was pretty nervous but it was a privilege walking alongside these gentle giants and holding their trunk, feeling different body parts and feeding them. If you go to Plett , it’s def worth visiting and they make this video for you at the end.

I don’t really post often - I’m more of a stories sharing person but Laya took this photo of me today so I thought I’ll say hi and wish all parents out there best of luck for the holidays season with kids at home all day.
Esta asked me today why I have to work if it’s holidays and it’s not like I worked today at all because I can honestly say that my business comes last in my list of priorities but it’s always tricky balancing it all. The family is always first, then comes the Shul and community and then comes my little side hustle. Honestly I feel like sometimes I get excited and share new creations and then it takes me a month to actually put them online ( and by that time someone has gone ahead and copied the idea.) but that’s my life right now. I do have a new dress, a new glasses cover and some new colors in bags so stay tuned for when I have some time. My kids are currently watching a movie I rented from Mostly Music so don’t feel bad if screens give you some downtime too. ( I’m wearing the SF Foldover Skirt in Black which has been restocked and it comes in navy, charcoal , maroon and cypress too in Sizes Xsmall - Xlarge.)

I know it sounds cliche but I’m here to remind you how quickly time passes - This is for moms out there who are sleep deprived and struggling. My oldest son Menny (in the pic) had colic and reflux for 9 months …at the time I wasn’t sure what to do with myself. I tried everything and nothing seemed to work and it was one of the most challenging times because I was literally clueless and no matter what I tried , the crying didn’t stop. I felt like such a failure as a mom and you can imagine how lonely everything seems when you’re walking the corridors at night or going for night drives just to calm your baby down,it feesl like you’re the only person in the world who is going through it but fast forward 18 years and Menny is graduating this week. We just spent our last Mommy time together while he’s in School and I’m getting so emotional thinking about it. I started one on one time ( Mommy time) with my kids probably when Menny was in Grade one, when we did a parenting course and learnt about the importance of spending time with each kid on their own. Basically when I had less kids it would be more often but we have a roster and I take each kid about every 5 weeks because my time is on a Monday afternoon and Chaim is away…just sharing because I want to remind you that whatever you are going through will pass and I feel super privileged that he’s wanted to join me up until this point. I’ll always remember the special memories and time spent together and would love to encourage you to try and do the same because before you know it, the kids are finishing school and I’m definitely going to miss this special time!

Ever since I was a little girl and watching National Geographic videos , Rwanda has been on my bucket list! Thank G-d we got to celebrate 20 years of marriage 🙏 ( with a lot of hard work and therapy that makes it all worth it 😜) and we trekked to see the gorillas. Nothing can prepare you for that moment after hiking for hours where you come face to face with these amazing creatures and nothing can prepare you for the amount of money that it costs either 🙈.A big thank you to Chabad of Rwanda for feeding us the most delicious Kosher food and to for being the best guide! And to for helping us organize the trip! ❤️

I wanted to share something as we get ready to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. For me, this is a special time of year—a chance to pause, reflect on the past twelve months, and look forward to a fresh start.
One of the deepest ideas from Chassidic tradition is that Rosh Hashanah isn’t just a new calendar year, it’s the moment when the entire world is renewed. It’s an opportunity for each of us to take a spiritual reset, to realign our lives with a sense of purpose and meaning. I find this idea so powerful, and its message of a fresh start is something everyone can appreciate, regardless of what you believe.
As I reflect on the past year, I’m truly so grateful for your incredible support. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for helping to make this past year so special.
Just a heads-up that our online shop and physical store will be closed this Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24, as we observe the holiday.
Wishing you and your loved ones a sweet, healthy, and happy new year. And may the new year bring a sense of peace to our world for everyone.
With gratitude,
Sarah

I love having photos but find photoshoots super stressful.
This time it was a very last minute decision the day before Chaim left overseas to Yeshiva and was available for half an hour so we met at the park. I told the kids to choose anything that’s blue or white and we actually had lots of fun. ( I also can’t believe that Laya is now of age to wear the SF Adina T shirt and start wearing my clothes :) I’ll probably never get around to printing these so having a memory on the grid is where it’s at right now. Thank you Hashem for these blessings in my life. 🙏
