I would like to share my experience with a purchase that was Made at emotion cars in randburg jhb in September 2017
On a Saturday morning while driving through randburg i noticed a cute looking, mini cooper convertible, at emotion cars.
I own a small but growing business and thought that this would be the perfect mascot for my Flower shop as it was smart but not overdone.
My husband and I went in and while looking at the car; we were approached by Brandon Britz, the manager. After a few questions, we purchased the car. The car was marked at R89990, we paid R83000 since it was cash.
Brandon assured us that the car was a great deal and that we would enjoy it.
A few weeks later the car warning lights came on and the car completely shut down. These were brought to the attention Brandon who told us to bring the car in.
It was later discovered that there were lots of issues with the car, the alternator wasn't charging, the stabilising bar had to be replaced,the car shuddered at speeds of 80km or more, the shocks were broken and leaking, etc etc.
Brandon assured us that once these issues were fixed, the car would be in a great condition and we would enjoy it. All expenses were at our cost even though they were existing issues with the car.
My husband paid for the repairs in good faith believing that the mini was now in good order. We picked up the car only to find that those repairs that we paid for did nothing to rectify any issues.
It barely made it into the driveway of the hotel we were staying at in sandton. The car completely shut down again. To date Numerous emails were sent to brand britz the manager aswell as Brandon papinfus the owner, however nothing was done to assist us.
I'm sharing my experience because I wouldn't want an unsuspecting person to find themselves in this situation. Emotion cars promises ethical sales and long standing customer relationships however my experience with them proved this to be untrue. Please be wary if you considering purchasing a car from emotion cars.
We are reasonable people . The car was paid for in full and after a considerable amount of money spent on the of the car aswell as repairs , the car is still not drivable.
Had the car been sorted out after the repairs, as promised we would be satisfied. However E-motion cars has just been ignoring and avoiding this matter.
This leaves me with no choice but to expose their unprofessional behaviour.
