𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗔 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗗.

SA Hockey announced their 2026 women's indoor squad today, and we're excited to announce that Olympic ambassador Jamie Southgate has, again, been selected for the SPAR SA Women's Indoor Hockey Squad.

With an impressive 111 national caps to her name, Jamie has lead the team for several years, racking up strong performances and some amazing titles... including the 2024 Indoor Africa Cup and the recent Nkosi Cup.

Congratulations again, Jamie! We're incredibly proud of you, and wish you and your new squad all the best for what lies ahead.

𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗥 𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗧 𝗛𝗜𝗕𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧.

With their season already off to an amazing start, the SACS lads headed to up the coast aiming to defend their title at the Hibbert Shield... against some stiff, and very hungry, competition.

The gents from Newlands showed their level all the way through, but local Cape rivals Paul Roos looked to upset the progression in the semi-final, which went to showdowns. But, they pulled it off and progressed to the final... to face another Cape rival, Parel Vallei.

The guys stuck to the plan, played with all their hearts and unleashed the champions within... securing a dominant 5-2 victory to secure back-to-back Hibbert Shield titles.

To add to the accolades, Mohlodi Maseko was named as Player of the Tournament.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗧𝗢 𝗔 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧!

With lots of pre-season tournaments across all ages, it feels like we've played a full season already. But, league actually only really started in the last fortnight... and just this last weekend for some teams.

It's been great seeing the hard work players put in during the off-season being put into action, especially for our teams and ambassadors.

Nathan Ansell (pictured) plays for the WPCC Badgers team in Cape Town, and an epic Cape storm set the stage for a back to back weekend, with Nathan & his team locking in two victories to get their league season underway.

𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗦 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗦 𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬.

Winter has truly arrived in Cape Town, and the classic derby was made all the more epic by strong winds & rain lashing the teams as they left it all out there.

Ultimately it was SACS that came out on top, with a solid 4-2 win.

Well done, lads!

Well, it never really ends. But for those in the Cape the trails really come alive in winter with rich colours and flowing rivers (and waterfalls!).

𝗥𝗛𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗦 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗙 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗡.

Oceans may be done & dusted for 2026, but there's so much to look forward to on the racing calendar.

One that jumps out at us every year is the Rhodes Quality Half Marathon in Wellington... set against a beautiful backdrop, and hosted by the great team from Top Events.

The race schedule for 2026 includes:
- 10km
- 21.1km
- 5km Fun Run
- 14.5km Trail Run
- 20.5km Trail Run.. most certainly something for everyone! And we hope to see you there.

As the 2026 hockey season gets underway, we're incredibly proud to announce our continued support of and partnership with the SACS 1st Hockey Team for a third season.

Following several years as the top ranked boys team in South Africa, we can't wait to see the young gents in action again this year... as they leave it all out on the turf to retain that title and stamp their authority once again.

𝗢𝗟𝗬𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗖 𝗛𝗢𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗬.

In 2025 we launched our first Hockey Boot, and it immediately became renowned for its lightness, comfort and grip no matter the conditions.

To mark the launch, we sponsored SA's #1 ranked boys schools team - SACS - as well as DHS & Rustenburg first teams.

Our ambassadors Jamie Southgate (captain of the WP Women's team) and Nathan Ansell (WP Mens) both lifted the respective trophies as WP cleaned up at the Senior IPT in Cape Town.

2025 was a big year, and we're excited for what is to come in 2026...
