🚨 The Mamelodi Sundowns squad has landed safely in Austria ahead of their pre-season tour. 🇿🇦✈️🇦🇹

Masandawana have officially arrived in Austria, where they’ll continue preparations for the new season. The camp will focus on fitness, tactical work, and friendly matches as Miguel Cardoso fine-tunes his squad before the 2026/27 campaign kicks off.

🚨 Thapelo Maseko Set for Sundowns Exit?

Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly given Thapelo Maseko permission to find a new club after leaving him out of their pre-season tour to Austria.

The 22-year-old recently returned from a loan spell at AEL Limassol in Cyprus, where he impressed with 2 goals and 1 assist in 15 appearances. His good form also earned him a Bafana Bafana recall, and he played a key role during South Africa’s FIFA World Cup campaign.

Despite that resurgence, Maseko has struggled for regular game time under coach Miguel Cardoso. Sundowns are now reportedly open to either a permanent transfer or another loan move, with AEL Limassol still interested in signing him.

If a deal goes through, Maseko’s time at Chloorkop could soon come to an end as he looks for a fresh start.

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly accepted transfer offers from both Raja Athletic Club (Morocco) and Al Ahli Benghazi (Libya) for winger Glody Lilepo. The final decision is now in Lilepo’s hands as he chooses which club’s personal offer suits him best.

Reports say Lilepo has struggled to settle in South Africa because his family couldn’t join him. Despite scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists in 56 games, and helping Amakhosi win the Nedbank Cup, he’s now expected to continue his career in North Africa.

So here’s the story… Gayton McKenzie says people must stop acting like he pocketed the whole R31 million. 😭 He explained that the total covered a much bigger South African World Cup delegation and related activities. According to him, his own flights, accommodation and travel insurance came to about R1.06 million over the trip not R31 million. The spending has still sparked criticism, with opposition parties questioning whether taxpayers got value for money.

So basically, Mandla Masango is saying these Spain tours are not vacations lapho abafana beyo-post-a ama-pool pictures. 😭 They’re there to learn how top European clubs train, improve fitness, tactics and discipline, then bring those lessons back home to make Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates stronger for the new season. Exposure to quality opposition can only raise the standard.

Now all that’s left is for the players to bring back European football… not just fridge magnets, Spanish accents and airport selfies. 🤣🇿🇦⚽
