Introducing The Travel Club. Chapter 1: ADVENTURE.

Friends of JOINERY, in wonderful places, with our pieces in tow. Three weeks, three chapters, one country. We begin in Tokyo.

We landed into the noise. Shibuya at midday, a thousand crossings at once, konbini coffee and neon after dark.

The Weave Tote carried the whole city: a map, a camera, a change of plan. Woven from FutureFelt®, our signature textile made from recycled plastic bottles.

1. The Weave Tote through Shibuya.
2. A cardholder for the essentials.
3. His and hers Weekenders for everything else.
4. A felt bag slowly filling with mementos, face masks and tickets.
5. Neon after dark, cocktails and a Micro Box Tote for the evening’s detours.

Watch our signature Safari Print come to life, from each leather panel being careful cut to the finished tote. Each bag is handcrafted with intention, and has quickly become a favourite for safari lodges, game reserves and those who feel right at home in the bush 🦁

When we set out to design the Weave Tote, we wanted a bag with a story woven into every thread. As it turns out, that became a lot more literal than we ever imagined.

“I’d been sketching woven silhouettes for months, chasing the feeling of our grandmothers’ market totes—something hand-worked, textural, and never quite the same.” — Natalie

“And I kept coming back to the fabric. We’d already created FutureFelt® from recycled plastic bottles, but could we weave it? Could it hold its shape, carry real weight, and last for years?” — Kim

Each one takes eight hours to hand-weave from Eco-Felt made using 13 recycled plastic bottles, then finished with full-grain leather handles. No two are exactly alike and that’s exactly the point!

It’s become our everyday bag. From school runs and client meetings to weekends away, it’s proof that sustainable design never has to mean compromise.

Available in black and terracotta, with our limited-edition yellow and grey colourway made in small batches. In store now and available on request.
