Hi, I’m Susan 👋
I realised that although many of you may have seen Cosy Corner Creations at a market or followed the page for a while, I haven’t properly introduced myself or shared how this little business began.
Cosy Corner Creations will be two years old around August/September, and it all started through my friendship with Sarah, the founder of Baba Fishees.
Sarah and I have known each other since before we were teenagers, and I had always admired the beautiful business she had built. I eventually began working on her website, and the more I got to know the clothing and the quality of the products, the more I loved them. That eventually led to me buying stock and beginning to sell the range myself.
For about a year, you could find me regularly at the Shongweni Farmers & Craft Market. Since then, the business has changed and evolved, and I can now be found at different markets across KwaZulu-Natal from the North Coast to the Midlands.
My goal is to take the brand to the people.
That means I am always looking for lovely, good-quality markets where Cosy Corner Creations will be a good fit. So please follow the page to see where I’ll be next and if you know of a market I may not have discovered yet, I would genuinely love to hear about it.
Over time, I noticed that many customers were choosing our pieces as gifts either for baby showers, new babies, birthdays or special visits. Because of that, Cosy Corner Creations is gradually becoming more of a carefully curated baby gifting experience.
I am not entirely sure yet where that journey will lead, but that is part of the excitement.
Another dream that has been quietly taking shape is a range of wooden educational pieces, created together with my husband using his woodworking skills. I’ll be sharing more about those soon.
For today, though, I simply wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
Next week, I’ll introduce my husband, James (if he'll let me), who is a very important part of everything that happens behind the scenes. I honestly could not do this without him.
