Soweto Fashion Week®️is a major Bi-Annual Marketing & Advertising platform for fashion designers & corporates.It is South Africa's primary representative at the BRICS International Fashion Federation, enabling the global showcasing of South African talent Our vision is to introduce a change In the face of modelling and fashion week runways in South Africa and to help grow the South African fashion

industry. Soweto fashion week was founded by Stephen Manzini to promote talented S.African designers on a global scale. During our May 2012 fashion week we had an explosion of media coverage worldwide. In 2013 Soweto fashion week was then invited to showcase their garments at the Switzerland fashion days in Zurich as well as fashion week Las Vegas USA including other global platforms.

Last year, we had the privilege of participating in the BRICS+ Fashion Summit in Moscow through our continuous partnership with the Fashion Fund in Moscow.

South Africa was one of only two countries, alongside Brazil, to have a dedicated country session at the Summit providing a significant platform to showcase our fashion industry and continental perspective to an international audience.

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit is recognised as one of the top three fashion summits in the world, making this gathering a meaningful platform for global impact, high-level networking and international collaboration across the fashion industry.

This year’s BRICS+ Fashion Summit will take place from 28–30 September 2026. Since the previous edition, the global fashion landscape has continued to evolve rapidly. The Summit’s agenda will respond to this shifting environment by focusing on macroeconomic trends, the transformation of consumer behaviour, practical case studies on the implementation of artificial intelligence, as well as tools for brands’ scaling and international expansion.

At the same time, Moscow Fashion Week will take place from 26 September–1 October 2026, bringing together designers, industry leaders, buyers, media and fashion stakeholders from around the world.
