There is something deeply comforting about wrapping yourself in the ocean. 💙

Our TREASURED WEST COAST SHELLS double fleece blanket (2m x 1.5m) is more than a cosy companion. It is a gentle reminder of salty air, treasured beach walks, and the extraordinary beauty hidden along our West Coast shoreline.

Lovingly created by Studio Sea Love, each blanket is:
• Wonderfully soft double fleece
• A generous 2m x 1.5m
• Machine washable
• Locally made in South Africa
• Sublimation printed for beautiful, lasting colour

But the story doesn’t end there…
Scan the QR code on the label and step into photographer Adéle Grosse’s underwater world. Journey into her magical Kelp Forest Prayer Room, where light dances through the kelp, marine life glides silently by, and you’ll experience the very ocean that inspired this design.

Because at Studio Sea Love, you don’t simply buy a blanket…

You take home a piece of the ocean. 🌊

Some days are simply sprinkled with a little extra magic… ❤️🎾🌊

Two days ago I shared a treasured memory of meeting my tennis hero, Chris Evert, at Wimbledon back in 1989.

This morning I woke up to the most beautiful surprise… a personal reply from Chris herself:

“Awwww, that is so sweet! Thank you for making my day.” ❤️

Needless to say, she absolutely made mine.

Riding my Priscilla, Queen of the Ocean scooter down to Britannia Bay midday today to say hello to my own Neptune - little did I know that I would ride back home to discover another Priscilla, Queen of the Ocean… sitting on Centre Court at Wimbledon!

My dear Sea Love client-friend, who has become like family to us, Albe Sauer, had sent me these beautiful photos, proudly wearing her Priscilla, Queen of the Ocean dress while waiting for today’s men’s final.

What are the chances?

A memory from 1989…
A message from one of my greatest sporting heroes…
A scooter named Priscilla, Queen of the Ocean…
And another Priscilla, Queen of the Ocean finding her way onto the most famous tennis court in the world.

Today I’ll be watching the men’s final with an even bigger smile on my face, sending lots of Priscilla, Queen of the Ocean love to Wimbledon and wishing both finalists an unforgettable Championship match.

Sometimes life has a wonderful way of reminding us that the most beautiful ripples take years to come full circle. 💙🎾🌊 Never-Adéle-Moment

There are customers… and then there are little legends who become part of the Sea Love story. 💙

What an absolute delight to welcome these three amazing siblings back to my little Studio Sea Love at the Paternoster Waterfront yesterday!

The best part? They arrived proudly wearing the very same “I Once Was a Plastic Bottle” money belts they bought here two years ago. Seeing products loved, used and returned with such big smiles is the greatest compliment any small local maker could ever receive.

Thank you for coming back, for your infectious excitement, and for reminding me that the memories we create are often just as special as the treasures we take home.

I can’t wait to see what Sea Love adventure you’ll take home next. 🌊🐠💙

Every time I drive from Paternoster and Vredenburg towards St Helena Bay, I know the moment is coming.

Just before I crest the hill, I always find myself saying, “Wait for it… wait for it… wait for it…”

And then… there it is.

That breathtaking view opens up across the bay, with Shelley Point Lighthouse standing proudly in the distance. Today, winter added its own magic, with dramatic cloud formations, soft colours painted across the sky, and that crisp West Coast air that makes everything feel so alive.

It doesn’t matter how many times I see this view. It still gives me that little “aha” moment. It still reminds me that we are incredibly blessed.

Paradise isn’t always somewhere far away.

Sometimes it’s simply the place you get to call home.

This morning, I stood on two sides of my little West Coast nest.

On one side, I watched the moon gently set over the ocean. On the other, I welcomed the sun as it rose to begin a brand new day.

One sky saying goodnight. Another saying good morning.
One ending. One beginning.
Both whispering the same reminder… there is always hope.

Today, as South Africa faces a day where many are feeling anxious because of the planned marches, my prayer is simple.

May peace be stronger than fear.
May kindness be louder than anger.
May wisdom guide our leaders.
And may each one of us choose to create a ripple of love, respect and compassion wherever we are.

Our beautiful country is worth praying for. 🇿🇦

What a wonderful surprise when the super-duper couple, Michael and Helen Lieberman, popped into our little Studio Sea Love today. 💙

I have tremendous respect for Helen and the incredible work she has done, and continues to do, in communities across South Africa. It was such a privilege to spend time together, sharing stories, laughter, and a proper West Coast lekker kuiertjie with them and their lovely daughter visiting all the way from the USA.

Thank you for making our afternoon so special. Safe travels, and may our paths cross again soon. 🌊

There is something about a moonrise over the ocean that quietens everything inside me.

Tonight, standing on our little beach that we affectionately call Greece, I was reminded yet again how incredibly blessed we are to call this place home. The air was icy, the sea was calm, and the full moon slowly painted a golden pathway across the water. It was pure magic.

Greece has always been our special place for moonrise swims. For more than a year now, we’ve chosen not to swim here because of the rabies-positive seals in the area. We simply don’t believe it’s worth taking the risk. I miss those swims more than I can say.

But beauty has a wonderful way of reminding us that we don’t always have to be in the water to be deeply moved by it.

Sometimes, simply standing on the shore, watching the moon rise over the sea, is enough to fill the soul with gratitude.

As I stood there, I found myself praying too. Tomorrow our country faces a day that has many people feeling anxious and uncertain. My prayer is simple: that calm hearts will prevail, that wisdom will guide us, and that peace will triumph over fear. May we never forget that every ripple of kindness, respect and responsibility begins with each one of us.

Winter on the West Coast may be freezing, but moments like these warm the heart in ways words can never fully explain.

Never a dull moment. Always a Never-Adéle-Moment. 🌕🌊
