One question I get a lot is, "Why didn't you go to sewing school?"
The truth is, online learning worked better for my season of life.
✅️ I had a 9-to-5 job and couldn't commit to regular class hours.
✅️ I could learn at my own pace instead of trying to keep up with everyone else.
✅️ If I didn't understand something, I could pause, rewind, and watch the lesson again.
✅️ I wasn't pressured into perfection before I was ready.
✅️ I wasn't comparing my progress to other students.
✅️ I could practice the same skill for days or weeks without feeling left behind.
✅️ I could learn whenever I had free time, even if it was just 30 minutes.
✅️ It was more affordable for me at the time.
✅️ Most importantly, it taught me how to take responsibility for my own learning.
Was it always easy? Definitely not 😭✂️
There were days I was confused, frustrated, and ready to give up.
But little by little, tutorial by tutorial, project by project, I improved.
If you're learning online, don't underestimate how far consistency can take you ❤️
How are you learning sewing online, in a sewing school, or a little bit of both...? ✂️
