Last week on Thursday, 30th April, the SME Tailors Association of Zambia conducted a research visit at New Soweto Market in Lusaka.
The purpose of this research was to engage with local tailors, understand their challenges, and explore opportunities for growth within the tailoring industry.
Through interviews and interactions, we were able to capture real experiences, skills, and insights from talented individuals shaping the future of fashion in Zambia.

📍 NEW SOWETO MARKET ENGAGEMENT

Today, the SME Tailors Association of Zambia successfully conducted a research and engagement visit at New Soweto Market under the Lusaka City Council.

Our team interacted with local tailors to better understand the challenges they face, their needs, and the opportunities available within the tailoring industry.

This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to build a stronger, more united community of tailors across Zambia.

We also began registering tailors who are interested in being part of the association and contributing to the growth of the industry.
