The report says the country's main commercial ports remain largely idle, disrupting exports of agricultural products and steel.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump’s Iran war may have trapped Washington.

Five months into the conflict, Iran is holding its grip over the Strait of Hormuz giving Tehran enormous leverage over the global economy.

Now Trump faces two choices:

Back down and risk a major strategic defeat.

Or escalate and enter another “forever war” with Iran.

Iran, meanwhile, appears unwilling to surrender its advantage. Talks with Oman over reopening Hormuz are moving forward but Tehran says any deal depends on a change in US behaviour.

The crisis is also spreading.

Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt have faced attacks, while tensions around the Red Sea, Suez and Gulf continue to rise.

The longer the war lasts, the harder it becomes for Washington to control its consequences.
