Day 1 was amazing. We got a lot of praise for our exhibitor line up and the efforts they have put in towards the collection and the reasonable prices they bring to Shimmer 2012. Meet the artist: Atul Panase, an experienced Illustrator, watercolorist, graphic designer and an acclaimed Dubai based visual artist was one of the SIKKA artists. Sikka Art Fair was the part of Art Dubai 2012. His watercolor work will be showcasing at Shanghai Zhujiajiao International Watercolour Exhibition which will be held on 28th November 2012 at Quanhua Watercolour Art Gallery Shanghai. His work is among 95 out of 3000 entries from 62 countires. He is also a proud winner of Silver Award in Lynx Dubai 2010.

Among the achievements he is quietly proud of is the fact that he has imparted his skills to more than a 1,000 students (comprising more than 30 nationalities). He holds classes at the Tashkeel and at the Dubai International Art Centre. His classes at the University of Sharjah and other institutes (as a visiting faculty member) are also extremely popular with students.One of his more unusual endeavours is using art as a form of therapy.
