One year ago we opened our kiosk at with a lot of excitement and a lot of effort behind it.

Since then, more than 300 of you walked away with a pair of NILO sandals, and many discovered the brand for the very first time there.

It’s been a year full of learnings, conversations, and moments we’ll remember for a long time.

Unfortunately it hasn’t been enough to keep the store open, so it’s time to close this chapter.

I want to say thank you to everyone who supported us along the way, to the Mercato Mall team and staff members, and of course to the NILO team for making this experience possible.

NILO isn’t going anywhere though 😉
We’re still online, still designing, and already working on new ideas and projects.

🙏🏼 And if there’s one thing I’d ask…
keep supporting small brands. It really makes a difference.

We start with “how will this feel?”.

If it feels right, we keep going.
If it doesn’t, we change it.

That’s been the rule from day one.

Our sandals are designed in-house and handmade in Spain 🇪🇸, but what really matters is that you don’t have to think about them once they’re on.

Freedom wasn’t a marketing word for me.
It came from the first pair of sandals we made.

The original NILO strap sandals were designed with a simple idea in mind: the shoe should adapt to your foot, not the other way around.

When we tried them on, it just felt… easy.
Comfortable. Light. Natural.
Like you could move without thinking about it.

That feeling became the standard.
Every new design had to keep that same freedom.

That’s really how NILO was built.
One comfortable design at a time.
