F/W 26 takes the craftsmanship that defines Ritu Kumar and places it in a wardrobe made for now. Relaxed tailoring meets fluid silhouettes, while masculine-inspired forms are softened with lace, pintucks, gathers and drape.

The Icons Come Together | Kareena Kapoor Khan for Ritu Kumar

The artistry of the Jamawar saree finds a contemporary expression in a fluid silk satin gown. Digitally printed paisley motifs are enriched with intricate embroidery, lending depth and delicacy to the flowing silhouette. A reflection of the House’s dialogue between traditional textiles and modern couture.

Kareena is wearing an intricately embroidered jacket that draws from the mirror work traditions of Kutch, Gujarat. It is layered over a sheer printed shirt, with a coordinating bustier and skirt. Handcrafted mukaish embroidery and studded mirrors catch the light, lending depth and brilliance to the silhouette. Realised through more than 700 hours of craftsmanship, the ensemble brings heritage techniques into a striking contemporary expression.

The gold embroidered Rajwadi blouse meets a printed Chogha jacket and handcrafted denim. Inspired by the royal textiles of Rajasthan and the silhouettes of the Awadh courts, the jacket is detailed with nakshi, kasab and tikki embroidery. Signature zardozi patchwork brings the same artistry to the denim.
