This past week has been one of the hardest of our lives, filled with every emotion imaginable.

We started with such a proud moment, watching our two eldest boys graduate and step into their next chapter. A day full of love and happiness.

Just a day later, our world changed when my dear dad went to sleep for the last time.

He had lived a full and beautiful life, but he was still very much living it. Right up until the end he was creating in his workshop, giving, and finding purpose in every day.

Since losing my mum just over two years ago, he showed us what real strength looks like. Quiet resilience, gratitude, determination and purpose in a life that had changed so deeply.

We feel so grateful for all the time we had with him, and the memories we made as a family.

He was my biggest supporter, always encouraging me to believe in myself and just go for it.

And then, because life doesn’t stop, we also moved house the very next day!

I guess unpacking boxes has kept me busy this week and my mind distracted, as it’s been super tough.

We also had a birthday party booked for yesterday - for me it was so important that we delivered as promised, and brought a little happiness to the birthday girls special day and it actually felt quite special, ending such an emotional and hard week, doing what we love 🩷

As we now prepare to fly back to the UK, I am holding tightly onto gratitude.

Gratitude for every visit, every memory, every conversation, every photo taken.

Most of all, comfort in knowing my daddy is now reunited with my beautiful mummy - the love of his life 🩷 .

THIS is why we take so many photos!

I will carry you with me every single day, my Daddy ❤️

We have now closed early for the summer and are flying back to be with my 7 siblings, family and friends.

I’d like to say an enormous THANK YOU to each and every one of you for the first part of 2026. It hasn’t been an easy year (as I’m sure everyone will agree with), but I am so grateful for every order, party, and workshop booked.
We WILL be back at the end of August, stronger & more determined than ever before ,

And just like that, Eid is over and the school routine is back!

We’ve got a busy few weeks ahead before we head back to the UK for a family wedding. Between a house move, graduation and prom for the big boys, our Creative Friday Workshop, and two birthday parties, life is definitely keeping us on our toes!

We’ve loved seeing all your Eid photos and it makes us so happy to see so many of you wearing your “United in Strength” T-shirts with pride wherever your celebrations have taken you.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Eid 💖

We’ve been enjoying a slower few days over here while getting organised for our next Creative Friday Workshop on Friday 5th June ✨

These afternoons are all about giving children a fun, screen-free space to get creative, make take-home creations and simply enjoy themselves, while parents get a little time to relax after a busy week ☕️

We change the crafts every session too, so there’s always something new to create and bring home.

Alongside the workshops, we’ve also been busy printing more leavers T-shirts and hoodies and next week it’s my turn to watch my big boys graduate 🥹

One thing we LOVE about what we do at Jesse + Boo is creating pieces that mean something ❤️

This week, we were contacted by a lovely mum looking for a leavers hoodie for her little fighter who had desperately wanted one. We worked together to create a design she loved and hand printed it especially for her… and honestly, moments like this are why we do what we do ✨

We’ve also been busy making lots of leavers T-shirts this week, all ready to be covered in handwritten messages, doodles and memories from friends and teachers on graduation day.

Because these aren’t just T-shirts and hoodies… they become keepsakes. The kind you pull out years later and instantly smile at 🩷

The magic behind small businesses is resilience, flexibility and learning how to keep creating through every little twist and turn ✨

As small business owners, we wear a hundred hats every single week. We plan, create, organise, problem solve, adapt and somehow still show up smiling.

We also have personal lives, families and our own health to look after… but we keep juggling, pushing forward and striving for the success we all dream of.

During this year alone, with everything happening around the world, we’ve seen so many brands face challenges, yet continue to stay focused, use the quieter moments wisely and keep moving forward with positivity and determination.

Not everything always goes perfectly behind the scenes, whether that’s work or personal life, but that’s the beauty of small business life. We adjust, we figure things out and we carry on because we care so deeply about what we’re building.

Some of the brands we’ve loved watching navigate the last few months so brilliantly include .ae with their exciting rebrand, because I truly believe the best is yet to come, our lovely friend and we will always remember the true determination of after their beautiful store flooded not long after their opening.

They’ve all continued to create amazing things whilst managing the real-life juggling happening behind the scenes… and many whilst being mums too 💖

I think as small business owners, we often underestimate the impact our children are watching every single day. They see the late nights, the creating, the problem solving, the courage it takes to try something new and the determination it takes to turn an idea into reality.

I grew up in a big loving family. My mum taught me to love deeply, have fun, laugh lots and always be kind. My dad gave me my entrepreneurial spirit, determination and the belief that if you want something badly enough, you’ll find a way to make it happen.

He’s always been my biggest cheerleader and still is, encouraging me to think creatively and believe things are possible.

Now as a working mum of 3 boys, it means everything to me to pass that same mindset down to them. Nothing makes me prouder than watching them start paving their own way in life, whether that’s through DJ’ing, media or entrepreneurial ideas.

As their last ever school term comes to an end, nothing makes me prouder than seeing one of them finish with the Entrepreneurial Award and earlier this year, the other receive the Golden Globe Award ❤️

I truly believe our children are inspired by watching us create, build, adapt and keep going, even when things feel hard.

And that’s exactly why I’ll always support young talent, whether that’s students doing work experience, helping at our events or simply encouraging young people to believe in themselves and give things a go ✨

How you think event planners arrive vs the reality 😂

I’d love to say I turn up cool, calm and collected… but the truth is it’s usually very hot, I’m pulling a giant heavy trolley, trying to find the entrance and hoping I make it inside before the sweat starts 😣

Not quite the glamorous arrival I imagine in my head.

The good part? Once setup starts, I get a moment to cool down, catch my breath and watch everything come together.

And honestly, it’s always worth it.

Because at Jesse + Boo, we love creating events that bring people together to have fun, get creative and make happy memories!

We also love giving parents the chance to slow down, enjoy an easier start to the weekend and get some much-needed time back to simply ☺️

That’s what our events are really about 🩷

The behind-the-scenes may be chaotic, but the end result is always something special.
