After graduating with an MBA in marketing management and economics, Essa honed his skills with traditional pattern cutters and tailors in Dubai. An insatiable appetite for fashion pushed his creativity where it knows no formal rules and

traditional concepts. He has single handedly taken the iconic kaftan and modernised it as just one of many styles that capture a studied carelessness of forgotten Arabia. Vibrant chiffons, vintage fabrics sourced from Asia and Europe and rare vintage trims, are just some of the materials that he works together to enhance the feminine form. Essa’s work consistently tries to weave the traditional and the modern by relying on materials and prints that are iconic cuts that are universally flattering and using fashion history to inform his fashion’s present.
