LOL - etsy has deactivated my regency top hat listing, because apparently rabbit fur items are not allowed to be sold online in the US.
Apparently the US market is all that matters, regardless of the rest of the world 🤣 and it doesn't matter that I'm not even selling this hat to the US.

It's definitely TIME TO LEAVE ETSY 😅
No worries, I'm already working on my own webshop!

another commission finished: a regency bonnet made of elaborate straw weave, with artificial flowers, a beautiful cobaltblue-lilac-ish ribbon (my camera shows it much too blue) and ostrich feathers.

another commission I recently finished and sent to a new home:
regency top hat with low crown and a simple bow.
modelled after a sketch by CW Eckersberg, Statens museum for kunst; Köpenhamn; 1807-1808

While I'm at home and recovering from a surgery, I can show you what I did earlier in september:
flat cap "Bobby" made from Original Harris Tweed (fabric provided by the tailor who also made a matching coat for this customer). A dream wool fabric to work with 🥰

what a lovely lot: berry coloured velour felt, spotted hairfelt (both will get re-worked), a (possibly original?) black 1940/50ies percher hat, a panama with no damage (will be re-worked), and some wonderful, soft cotton ribbons 🖤
